Recursive Technique For Computing System Reliability

IEEE Transactions on Reliability, 1987
This paper presents a simple recursive formula for calculating source-to- sink congestion, and hence reliability, in a network. This congestion is derived from individual blocking probabilities of each link. The method has an advantage of not requiring cut-sets. Such a knowledge is a prerequisite in most other methods of reliability analysis.

Recursive Identification of MIMO Wiener Systems

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2013
Stochastic approximation (SA) algorithms are proposed to identify a multi-input and multi-output (MIMO) Wiener system, in which the system input is taken to be a sequence of independent and identically distributed (i.i.d.) Gaussian random vectors uk ∈ N(0,I).

Recursive estimation methods for discrete systems

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2003
In system identification, the error evolution is composed of two decoupled parts: one is the identifying information on the current estimation residual, while the other is past arithmetic errors. Previous recursive algorithms only considered how to update current prediction errors.

Recursive system identification

Acta Mathematica Scientia, 2009
Abstract Most of existing methods in system identification with possible exception of those for linear systems are off-line in nature, and hence are nonrecursive. This paper demonstrates the recent progress in recursive system identification. The recursive identification algorithms are presented not only for linear systems (multivariate ARMAX systems)

Recursive Identification of Wiener--Hammerstein Systems

SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 2012
Identification of the Wiener--Hammerstein system consisting of a linear subsystem in a cascade with a static nonlinearity $f(\cdot)$ followed by another linear subsystem with internal noises is con...

A recursive construction for difference systems of sets

Designs, Codes and Cryptography, 2018
Difference systems of sets (DSSs), which can be used for code synchronization, generalize cyclic difference sets. In this paper, recursive constructions for DSSs with composite order are developed, and infinite series of asymptotically optimal DSSs are given.

Parallel recursive algorithm for tridiagonal systems

Proceedings. Advances in Parallel and Distributed Computing, 2002
In this paper, a parallel algorithm for solving tridiagonal equations based on recurrence is presented. Compared with the parallel prefix method (PP) which is also based on the recursive method, the computation cost is reduced by a factor of two while maintaining the same communication cost.

A type system for well-founded recursion

2018
Abstract: "In the interest of designing a recursive module extension to ML that is as simple and general as possible, we propose a novel type system for general recursion over effectful expressions. The presence of effects seems to necessitate a backpatching semantics for recursion based on Scheme's. Our type system ensures statically that recursion is
