Implant Renal Injury‐Responsive Cells to Supplement Erythropoietin and Protect Kidney Injury

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 6, Issue 11, November 2025.
Insufficient erythropoietin (EPO) production in injured kidneys leads to anemia and further exacerbates kidney damage. We constructed an injury‐responsive EPO‐producing (iREP) element that senses signals of kidney damage and drives the synthesis and secretion of native EPO.

Good's Syndrome Presenting With Weaning Failure From Ventilation and Myasthenia Gravis in a Post‐Thymectomy Patient

open access: yesRespirology Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 11, November 2025.
This case highlights the importance of long‐term vigilance in patients with thymoma, even after apparently successful resection, as Good's syndrome may manifest years later. Clinicians should maintain a high index of suspicion for Good's syndrome in any thymectomized patient presenting with unexplained infections, diarrhoea, or autoimmune complications,

Isoniazid-induced pure red cell aplasia

open access: yesBMJ Case Reports, 2018
The pure red cell aplasia (PRCA) is an uncommon side effect of isoniazid. We describe a 28-year-old man who developed a severe anaemia caused by PRCA. The patient received antituberculous therapy including isoniazid for his pulmonary tuberculosis. On discontinuation of isoniazid, the anaemia recovered promptly.

Drug Candidate BIO101 for Spinal Muscular Atrophy as Monotherapy or Combined With the Antisense Oligonucleotide ASO‐10‐27

open access: yesJournal of Cachexia, Sarcopenia and Muscle, Volume 16, Issue 5, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Background Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) is a neuromuscular disease caused by loss of survival of motor neuron (SMN) protein inducing progressive muscle weakness and atrophy due to motor neurons degeneration. Despite benefits of SMN restoration therapies in patients, motor defects are still persistent.
