The theoretical location of the red edge of the RR Lyrae Gap is computed for two luminosities and two compositions. An increase in luminosity or an increase in helium abundance decreases the effective temperature of the red edge. A comparison of the width of the instability strip with observations indicates that Yapprox. =0.3. The effects of convection

Identification of Rice Sheath Blight through Spectral Responses Using Hyperspectral Images
Sheath blight (ShB), caused by Rhizoctonia solani AG1-I, is one of the most important diseases in rice worldwide. The symptoms of ShB primarily develop on leaf sheaths and leaf blades.

Synthesis and optoelectronic properties of new ethynylated pyrazine derivatives [PDF]
Several diaryleneethynylpyrazine derivatives, in which the pyrazine unit is electron-deficient, have been synthesised using Sonogashira palladium-catalysed cross-coupling reactions.

An operational solution to acquire multispectral images with standard light cameras : Characterization and acquisition guidelines [PDF]
In order to develop a low-cost and easy to implement technical solution to map inside-field spatial variability, and to explore its relationship with crop conditions, several experiments were conducted using ultra-light aircraft and Unmanned Aerial ...

We demonstrate experimentally and support by a theoretical analysis an effect of asymmetric spectrum broadening, which results from doping of silver nanoparticles into a heavy-glass matrix, 90(0.5WO3-0.3SbPO4-0.2PbO)-10AgCl.

Red-edge laser action from borondipyrromethene dyes
Long-wavelength fluorescent dyes with improved efficiency and stability are required to realize new photoelectronic and biophotonic applications. We have designed and synthesized novel 2,6- or 3,5-substituted BODIPY (BDP) dyes by a simple protocol to reach wavelength-finely tunable laser action from 600 to 725 nm.
