Narrow band based and broadband derived vegetation indices using Sentinel-2 Imagery to estimate vegetation biomass [PDF]
Forest’s ecosystem is one of the most important carbon sink of the terrestrial ecosystem. Remote sensing technology provides robust techniques to estimate biomass and solve challenges in forest resource assessment.

MERIS and the red-edge position
The Medium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (MERIS) is a payload component of Envisat-1. MERIS will be operated over land with a standard 15 band setting acquiring images with a 300 m spatial resolution. The red-edge position (REP) is a promising variable for deriving foliar chlorophyll concentration, which plays an important role in ecosystem processes.

EFFECTS OF GF-6 SATELLITE RED-EDGE BANDS ON PEANUT DROUGHT MONITORING [PDF]
Red-edge band is an indicator band to describe the health status of crops. In order to explore the impact of the red-edge bands on the accuracy of agricultural drought monitoring, this study used GF-6 WFV and Landsat8 to calculate the Red-edge Normalized

Expanding the Timeline for Earth’s Photosynthetic Red Edge Biosignature [PDF]
Abstract When Carl Sagan observed the Earth during a Galileo fly-by in 1993, he found a widely distributed surface pigment with a sharp reflection edge in the red part of the spectrum, which, together with the abundance of gaseous oxygen and methane in extreme thermodynamic disequilibrium, were strongly suggestive of the presence of life

Gravity-modes in ZZ Ceti Stars. II. Effects of Turbulent Dissipation [PDF]
We investigate dynamical interactions between turbulent convection and g-mode pulsations in ZZ Ceti variables (DAVs). Since our understanding of turbulence is rudimentary, we are compelled to settle for order of magnitude results.

Sustainable Irrigation Management of Ornamental Cordyline Fruticosa “Red Edge” Plants with Saline Water [PDF]
The aim of this work was to analyze the influence of the salinity of the nutrient solution on the transpiration and growth of Cordyline fruticosa var. “Red Edge” plants. A specific irrigation management model was calibrated with the experimental data. An
