Light-harvesting protein Lhcx3 is essential for high light acclimation of Phaeodactylum tricornutum

open access: yesAMB Express, 2018
The light-harvesting protein complexes (Lhc) play key roles in the processes of light absorption and protection in diatoms. However, different Lhc protein carries out distinct function in photosynthesis.

Transcriptome data of Prorocentrum donghaiense Lu under nitrogen and phosphorus limitation

open access: yesData in Brief, 2018
Prorocentrum donghaiense Lu is one of the most frequently occurred harmful algae in the coastal waters of China. The growth of P. donghaiense can be limited by nitrogen or phosphorus in marine environment. However, molecular mechanism of P.

Somatostatin receptor 4 (SSTR4) is a tumor suppressor in cutaneous and head & neck squamous cell carcinomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study identifies somatostatin receptor 4 (Sstr4) as a critical tumor suppressor against skin and head/neck cancers (HNSCC, cSCC, and BCC). The loss of Sstr4 removes a check on cell growth, causing hyperactivation of the MAPK‐ERK signaling pathway (↑).

Environment Change due to red tide indicates and the Chapter V of the Water Pollutant Control Law in Ise Bay

open access: yesJournal of Human Environmental Studies, 2009
In general, red tide indicates a visual and customary name for the "phenomenon that microalgae in seawater proliferate abnormally, causing a sudden change in sea surface color." However, this is not sufficient to quantitatively understand red ...

Impact of Age on the Diagnostic Yield of Routine EEG in People With Childhood or Juvenile Absence Epilepsy: A Cross‐Sectional Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background We aimed to identify the proportion of individuals with a confirmed diagnosis of childhood absence epilepsy (CAE) or juvenile absence epilepsy (JAE) who show a negative routine EEG (rEEG), and to determine the main factors associated with this finding.

RESEARCH ON HIGH ACCURACY DETECTION OF RED TIDE HYPERSPECRRAL BASED ON DEEP LEARNING CNN [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2018
Increasing frequency in red tide outbreaks has been reported around the world. It is of great concern due to not only their adverse effects on human health and marine organisms, but also their impacts on the economy of the affected areas.

Functionalizing Micro‐to‐Mesoscopic Electrode Architectures for Regulating Electron Transfer Behaviors in Electrocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A systematic review is conducted to assess the influence of electrode architecture across micro‐ to mesoscopic length scales on electron‐transfer pathways in electrocatalysis. We discuss the structure‐activity relationships in electrocatalytic applications, including resource recovery and environmental remediation, and provide cost‐effective, efficient

Risk perception, media exposure, and visitor’s behavior responses to Florida Red Tide

open access: yes, 2020
Florida’s Red Tide outbreak, a major environmental disturbance in 2018, not only garnered nationwide attention but also affected both in-state and out-of-state visitors. Guided by the Social Amplification of Risk Framework (SARF), this study examined the

Nanomaterial Strategies for Pulmonary Delivery of Immunotherapeutics in Lung Cancer Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Inhalable immunotherapeutic nanomedicines enable organ‐selective immune modulation by overcoming pulmonary delivery barriers and concentrating therapy within lung tumors. This Review defines how nanomaterial properties govern airway deposition, retention, cellular partitioning, and immune activation across vaccines, checkpoint blockade, STING agonists,
