Complete Mitochondrial Genomes of Pentapodus caninus and Lethrinus olivaceus (Spariformes: Nemipteridae and Lethrinidae): Genome Characterization and Phylogenetic Analysis

open access: yesAnimals
Complete mitochondrial genomes (mitogenomes) are widely utilized molecular resources for phylogenetic studies. Although research on Spariformes mitogenomes has advanced significantly, there is still relatively little information regarding the molecular ...

Integrative Omics Analysis Reveals the Regulation of Hypoxia Tolerance in Large Yellow Croaker (Larimichthys crocea) via the Lipoic Acid Synthase (lias) Gene

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lipoic acid synthase (lias) can regulate α‐KG levels through lipoylation, thereby negatively regulating HIF‐1α protein levels via PHD under hypoixa. The Hap2 allele of lias exhibits lower expression levels than Hap1, leading to the accumulation of more HIF‐1α protein and thereby enhancing hypoxia tolerance. ABSTRACT Hypoxia stress seriously affects the

SDPR–STK38 axis controls the proliferation–differentiation balance in alveolar type II cells

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
The present study identifies SDPR as a pivotal regulator orchestrating the balance between proliferation and differentiation in alveolar type II (AT2) cells. In SDPR+/+ cells, SDPR binds to and inhibits STK38 activity, thereby sustaining GSK‐3β signaling functionality to promote cyclin D1 degradation and maintain cell cycle homeostasis.

Spatial and Temporal Distribution Characteristics of Red Tide in Ningde Coastal Waters From 2010 to 2020

open access: yesHaiyang Kaifa yu guanli, 2022
In order to analyze the spatio-temporal distribution and species characteristics of red tide in the coastal waters of Ningde, all red tide events occurred in this study area were collected from 2010 to 2020.

(Tinjauan Singkat tentang Permasalahan Red Tide di Teluk Jakarta: Pengaruh Red Tide Terhadap Ikan dan Manusia) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Red tide or marine phytoplankton blooms is a naturally occurring phenomenon. It appears that frequency, intensity and geographical distribution of harmful algae (i.e. red tide) have increased over the last few decades.

Regional gas exchange evaluation during ex vivo lung perfusion in a swine model of localized lung dysfunction

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Ex vivo lung perfusion (EVLP) allows the evaluation of lungs that do not meet standard transplantation criteria. Current procedures do not permit the identification of regional functional deficits. We investigated the feasibility of assessing lobar gas exchange during EVLP in a swine model.
