Foldable Spaces: An Overt Redirection Approach for Natural Walking in Virtual Reality

open access: yesIEEE Conference on Virtual Reality and 3D User Interfaces, 2022
Overt redirection is a class of virtual reality locomotion that uses perceptible transformations to enable the user to naturally walk through a virtual environment larger than the physical tracking space.

Trade Redirection in Global Supply Chains [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
We define trade redirection in global supply chains as the reshipment of value added imports by the last but one country in the chain to their final destination.

Redirection Controller Using Reinforcement Learning

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
There is a growing demand for redirected walking (RDW) techniques and their application to various virtual and real environments. To apply appropriate RDW methods and manipulation according to the real and virtual environments, the RDW controllers are ...

To Reach the Unreachable: Exploring the Potential of VR Hand Redirection for Upper Limb Rehabilitation [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems
Rehabilitation therapies are widely employed to assist people with motor impairments in regaining control over their affected body parts. Nevertheless, factors such as fatigue and low self-efficacy can hinder patient compliance during extensive ...

A novel pathogen-responsive glycosyltransferase UGT73C7 mediates the redirection of phenylpropanoid metabolism and promotes SNC1-dependent Arabidopsis immunity.

open access: yesThe Plant Journal, 2021
Recent studies have shown that global metabolic reprogramming is a common event in plant innate immunity, however, the relevant molecular mechanisms remain largely unknown.

Cancer cell redirection biomarker discovery using a mutual information approach. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2017
Introducing tumor-derived cells into normal mammary stem cell niches at a sufficiently high ratio of normal to tumorous cells causes those tumor cells to undergo a change to normal mammary phenotype and yield normal mammary progeny.

Redirecting redirection

open access: yes, 2018
Crossref has decided to change the HTTP redirect code used by our DOIs from 303 back to the more commonly used 302. Our implementation of 303 redirects back in 2010 was based on recommended best practice for supporting linked data identifiers. Unfortunately, very few other parties have adopted this practice.

Improving Few-Shot User-Specific Gaze Adaptation via Gaze Redirection Synthesis [PDF]

open access: yesComputer Vision and Pattern Recognition, 2019
As an indicator of human attention gaze is a subtle behavioral cue which can be exploited in many applications. However, inferring 3D gaze direction is challenging even for deep neural networks given the lack of large amount of data (groundtruthing gaze ...
