Northern and Southern European Traffic Flow Land Segment Analysis as Part of the Redirection Justification [PDF]

open access: yesTransNav, 2017
Natural geotraffic flows act as one of the most important factors directly affecting redirections of the world transportation routes. In terms of door-to-door multimodal transport chain, several routes from Far East toward European destinations exist ...

Color Routing and Beam Steering of Single‐Molecule Emission with a Spherical Silicon Nanoantenna

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We experimentally demonstrate broadband directional emission from single molecules using a single spherical silicon nanoparticle assembled via DNA origami. By varying nanoparticle (NP) size and emitter position, we achieve unidirectional emission, beam steering, and color routing at the nanoscale, revealing modal interference as the underlying ...

Metabolic Profiles of Pomegranate Juices during Fruit Development and the Redirection of Flavonoid Metabolism

open access: yesHorticulturae, 2023
The pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) fruit is favorable for its nutrient-rich benefits to human health. However, the global metabolic profiles of pomegranate juice and the metabolic mechanisms of its essential metabolites are poorly understood.

Engineering Strategies for Stable and Long‐Life Alkaline Zinc‐Based Flow Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Alkaline zinc‐based flow batteries face persistent challenges from unstable zinc deposition, including dendrite growth, passivation, corrosion, and hydrogen evolution, which severely limit cycling stability. Current research addresses these issues through coordinated electrode structuring, electrolyte regulation, and membrane design to control zinc ...

Organelle Localization‐Induced Bio‐Orthogonal Polymerization (OLIBOP) for Photostable Super‐Resolution Live‐Cell Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Organelle localization‐induced biorthogonal polymerization enables direct synthesis of photostable poly‐AIEgens within targeted organelles for super‐resolution live‐cell imaging. ABSTRACT Real‐time monitoring of dynamic biological processes demands fluorescent probes that can withstand prolonged light exposure without photobleaching—a critical ...

Molecular Piracy: Redirection of Bacteriophage Capsid Assembly by Mobile Genetic Elements

open access: yesViruses, 2019
Horizontal transfer of mobile genetic elements (MGEs) is a key aspect of the evolution of bacterial pathogens. Transduction by bacteriophages is especially important in this process.

Wind Farm Loads under Wake Redirection Control

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
Active wake control (AWC) is a strategy for operating wind farms in such a way as to reduce the wake effects on the wind turbines, potentially increasing the overall power production. There are two concepts to AWC: induction control and wake redirection.

Leadership in the locker room: How the intensity of leaders' unpleasant affective displays shapes team performance. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Research has documented conflicting evidence about the relationship between a leader's unpleasant affective displays and team performance. Drawing on the dual threshold model of anger, we propose a novel explanation for this paradox such that the ...

Wound Geometry Determines Whether Aligned‐Fiber Scaffolds Accelerate or Impede Diabetic Wound Healing: A Biased Random Walk Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Wound closure is governed by geometry‐orientation coupling: aligned fibers speed migration along their axis but hinder perpendicular advance. In vivo diabetic wound experiments with composition‐matched fibrin, combined with an anisotropic diffusion (biased random‐walk) model, quantify this trade‐off and generate a healing landscape.
