Evidence consistent with the cosmological interpretation of quasar redshifts [PDF]
In this letter, the old issue of whether redshifts of quasars are of cosmological origin is investigated. We make a plot of absorption redshifts versus emission redshifts for quasars with large amounts of data. Our study shows that, almost all absorption redshifts are smaller than the corresponding emission redshifts.

Carboxyl‐functionalized graphene quantum dots (cGQDs) exhibit high singlet oxygen quantum yield due to strong spin–orbit coupling. cGQDs achieve minimum bactericidal concentration of only 0.4 µg mL−1 against S. aureus under low‐intensity illumination.

In this work, we adopt a cosmological model-independent approach for the first time to test the question of whether the mass density power-law index ( γ ) of strong gravitational lensing systems (SGLSs) evolves with redshift, and the joint light-curve ...

The Distance of GRB is Independent from the Redshift [PDF]
Although it is acknowledged that GRB redshift is cosmological at present, but it in fact has never been confirmed. However, the fact is still unclear because which may be cosmological redshift (including possibly the host galaxy redshift or the background galaxy redshift) or the redshift results from gravity of neutron star; in other words, GRB ...

A novel phthalocyanine (PC)‐based metal–organic framework (MOFs) is synthesized using ditopic PC linkers obtained through regioselective statistical condensation. The resulting MOF exhibits significant improvements in electronic absorption, thereby enhancing the material's performance in light harvesting and energy conversion.

Luminosity-Environment Relation in the Lowz Sample of the SDSS-III
In this work, we examine the environmental dependence of the u-, g-, r-, i- and z-band luminosities in the LOWZ sample of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey Data Release 10 (SDSS DR10).

Inter‐Layer Diffusion of Excitations in 2D Perovskites Revealed by Photoluminescence Reabsorption
Inter‐layer diffusion of photoexcitations is monitored in thin films of the 2D perovskite (PEA)2PbI4 by tracking time‐dependent changes in photoluminescence spectra induced by photon reabsorption effects. A low out‐of‐plane excitation diffusion coefficient of 0.26 × 10−4 cm2 s−1 is determined through 1D diffusion modeling.

Evidence that an Intrinsic Redshift Component that is a Harmonic of z = 0.062 May be Present in Every Quasar Redshift [PDF]
After estimating and removing all ejection-related Doppler components from the redshifts of the QSOs near NGC 1068, the remaining redshift is assumed to be intrinsic. This well-studied case is the first example in which it has finally been possible to separate the intrinsic redshift component from the cosmological and other Doppler components.

XMM-Newton Observations of High Redshift Quasars
We report on our XMM observations of the high redshift quasars BR 2237--0607 (z=4.558) and BR 0351--1034 (z=4.351), together with 14 other z>4 objects found in the XMM public archive.

An asymmetric non‐fullerene acceptor BTP‐FT is developed by extending the end group of Y6‐BO with thiophene. The conformation of the molecule is determined by the noncovalent F···S interaction as demonstrated by 2D NMR and simulations. An efficiency of 18.39% is achieved in the resulting ternary solar cells processed from toluene.
