Smelting reduction of ilmenite by carbon in molten pig iron
Canadian Metallurgical Quarterly, 1999Abstract The smelting reduction of an ilmenite concentrate with carbon in molten pig iron was examined at 1450°C and 1600°C, respectively. The volumes of CO gas evolved from the reaction were recorded and the data were transformed into reduction degrees.
