Ultrafast reductive dechlorination of carbon tetrachloride by amorphous Fe78Si9B13 alloy
Amorphous Fe78Si9B13 ribbons and zero-valent iron (ZVI) powder were used to remove carbon tetrachloride (CTC) in the neutral oxic environment. The amorphous Fe78Si9B13 ribbons showed significantly better dechlorination performance than the ZVI powder ...

Rapid Detection of Plasticizer Migration From UV‐Aged PVC Films by DART‐HRMS
ABSTRACT Rationale The migration of phthalate plasticizers from high‐volume polymers, such as poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC), raises significant toxicological concerns, particularly when materials are subjected to aging and environmental stress. As traditional monitoring techniques rely on time‐consuming solvent extraction and chromatographic methods that ...

Achieving Near‐Complete Dechlorination of Poly(vinyl chloride) via Electrochemical Reduction
A one‐pot controlled‐voltage electrolysis achieved up to 97% dechlorination of poly(vinyl chloride) using common plasticizers as redox mediators. The liberated chloride ions were oxidized at the anode and utilized in a subsequent arene chlorination, offering a route for repurposing the chlorine from PVC.

Brønsted Acidic Deep Eutectic Solvents (BADESs, acting as solvent, promoter, and chemoselectivity controller) based on choline chloride (ChCl) and p‐toluenesulfonic acid (p‐TSA·H2O) enable one‐pot cascade, metal‐free Meyer‐Schuster/C‐P (and C‐Cl) tandem process. Variations in the ChCl:p‐TSA·H2O ratios switches chemoselectivity, affording α‐hydroxy or α‐

Push–Pull Ynamines and Push–Pull Ynamides: Synthesis, Structure, Reactivity, and Application
Push–pull ynamines and push–pull ynamides, which carry an EWG and an amino or amido group as EDG, are highly interesting classes of EDG‐EWG alkynes that have been intensively studied due to their exceptional reactivity. In this review, the synthesis, structure, reactivity, and application of push–pull ynamines, push–pull ynecarbamates, push–pull ...

Microbial reductive dechlorination of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) has been observed in many PCB-impacted sediments. However, this biodegradation is relatively site-specific and can be affected by PCB compositions and sediment geochemical conditions.

Color and COD Removal From ECF Effluent by Airlift Reactor With Immobilized Lentinus edodes
Airlift bioreactor treating ECF bleaching effluent with Lentinus edodes immobilized on polystyrene fibers achieved up to 48% color and 41% COD removal. Under optimized aeration (300 mL/min) and HRT (78 h) without glucose, COD removal remained stable for 15 days, supporting a low‐input, enzyme‐driven strategy for pulp‐and‐paper wastewater. Kinetics of 2-chlorobiphenyl Reductive Dechlorination by Pd-fe0 Nanoparticles
Kinetics of 2-chlorobiphenyl (2-Cl BP) catalytic reductive dechlorination by Pd-Fe0 nanoparticles were investigated. Experimental results showed that ultrafine bimetallic Pd-Fe0e nanoparticles were synthesized in the presence of 40 kHz ultrasound in ...
