The Characterization of Ree Groups 2F4(q) by Their Element Orders [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Algebra, 1999
For a finite group \(G\), denote by \(\pi_e(G)\) the set of element orders of \(G\). The authors prove that if \(\pi_e(G)=\pi_e(R)\), where \(R={^2F_4(2^{2m+1})}\), then \(G\) is isomorphic to \(R\).

Whole-body vibration administered during a 3-week in-hospital multidisciplinary body weight reduction program increases resting energy expenditure in obese adolescents, a randomized clinical trial [PDF]

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology
BackgroundPediatric obesity is a growing global health concern, and interventions aimed at increasing resting energy expenditure (REE) have gained attention as complementary strategies to dietary restriction.

Finite linear spaces admitting a Ree simple group [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Combinatorics, 2004
This is one of a long series of papers attempting to classify those finite groups which can act line-transitively on a finite linear space. The authors prove that if the group \(G\) is isomorphic to a Ree group the linear space is the Ree unitary space. They show first that the group is primitive in the action on points.

Influence of 8‐week endurance training on resting energy expenditure and body composition in women [PDF]

open access: yesPhysiological Reports
Endurance training potentially induces changes in resting energy expenditure (REE), body composition, and metabolic hormones, but well‐controlled studies accounting for hormonal status of women are sparse on this topic. This study investigated how 8‐week

Cubic graphical regular representations of Ree groups [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
A graphical regular representation of a group G is a Cayley graph of G whose full automorphism group is equal to the right regular permutation representation of G. In this paper, we prove that for Ree groups with q > 3, with probability tending to 1 as ,

Relationship Between Relativistic Electron Events Magnetic Storms, and Magnetic Substorms [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Astronomy and Space Sciences, 2003
This paper reports a statistical study on the relationship between relativistic electron events(REE), magnetic storms, and substorms. We have used magnetic storm events that occurred between 1996 and 1998, and have classified them into two groups, (i ...

Finite-dimensional pointed Hopf algebras over finite simple groups of Lie type VI. Suzuki and Ree groups [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
We analyse the rack structure of conjugacy classes in simple Suzuki and Ree groups and determine which classes are kthulhu. Combining these results with abelian rack techniques, we show that the only finite-dimensional complex pointed Hopf algebras over ...

Does diet and activity lead to difference in resting energy expenditure in obese women?

open access: yesBMC Women's Health, 2023
Background Obesity is considered as a risk factor for metabolic and chronic diseases. Reduction in resting energy expenditure (REE) may increase risk of obesity.

Resting Energy Expenditure in Adults with Becker's Muscular Dystrophy. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2017
PURPOSE:The purpose of this study was: 1) To compare Resting energy expenditure (REE) in adult males with Becker's Muscular Dystrophy (BeMD, n = 21, 39 ±12 years) and healthy controls (CTRL, n = 12, 37 ±12 years) 2) Determine whether other physiological ...
