Topological Analysis of Composite Ageing via Dual Anisotropic Filtrations and Persistent Homology

open access: yesInternational Journal of Topology
We propose a topological data analysis framework for the study of damage evolution in anisotropic composite materials based on scalar filtrations defined on cubical complexes.

Balancing the Cognitive Highwire: The Effect of CEO–TMT Shared Cognition on Radical Innovation and Innovation Efficiency

open access: yesJournal of Product Innovation Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Radical innovation and innovation efficiency are important for a firm's competitive advantage. Past research has established that the firm's upper echelons disproportionately contribute to the radicalness and efficiency of innovation efforts.

Book embeddings of Reeb graphs

open access: yesCoRR, 2013
Let $X$ be a simplicial complex with a piecewise linear function $f:X\to\mathbb{R}$. The Reeb graph $Reeb(f,X)$ is the quotient of $X$, where we collapse each connected component of $f^{-1}(t)$ to a single point. Let the nodes of $Reeb(f,X)$ be all homologically critical points where any homology of the corresponding component of the level set $f^{-1 ...

Coulomb branch algebras via symplectic cohomology

open access: yesJournal of Topology, Volume 19, Issue 2, June 2026.
Abstract Let (M¯,ω)$(\bar{M}, \omega)$ be a compact symplectic manifold with convex boundary and c1(TM¯)=0$c_1(T\bar{M})=0$. Suppose that (M¯,ω)$(\bar{M}, \omega)$ is equipped with a convex Hamiltonian G$G$‐action for some connected, compact Lie group G$G$.

Which singular tangent bundles are isomorphic?

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 113, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract Logarithmic and b$ b$‐tangent bundles provide a versatile framework for addressing singularities in geometry. Introduced by Deligne and Melrose, these modified bundles resolve singularities by reframing singular vector fields as well‐behaved sections of these singular bundles.

Geographical and Seasonal Distribution of Australian Pygmy Right Whales (Caperea marginata) Based on Passive Acoustics

open access: yesMarine Mammal Science, Volume 42, Issue 2, April 2026.
ABSTRACT The pygmy right whale (Caperea marginata) is one of the least studied mysticete species. To shed light on its geographic and seasonal distribution, we compiled archival acoustic recordings from 26 sites across southern Australia and developed a deep‐learning detector for pygmy right whale “doublet” vocalizations.

Partitioning of triangulated multiply connected domain into subdomains without branching of inner boundaries

open access: yesУчёные записки Казанского университета: Серия Физико-математические науки, 2018
This paper considers two approaches to partitioning of a triangulated multiply connected domain into connected subdomains without branching of internal boundaries.

PEP725: 15 years of driving European and global phenology science

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 250, Issue 2, Page 717-734, April 2026.
Summary Phenology – the timing of seasonal biological events – is a sensitive indicator of climate change and ecosystem dynamics. Long‐term, broad‐scale phenological data are crucial for understanding and predicting plant responses to environmental change.

Drawing Reeb Graphs

open access: yes
Reeb graphs are simple topological descriptors with applications in many areas like topological data analysis and computational geometry. Despite their prevalence, visualization of Reeb graphs has received less attention. In this paper, we bridge an essential gap in the literature by exploring the complexity of drawing Reeb graphs.
