RS + LDPC-Staircase Codes for the Erasure Channel: Standards, Usage and Performance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Application-Level Forward Erasure Correction (AL-FEC) codes are a key element of telecommunication systems. They are used to recover from packet losses when retransmission are not feasible and to optimize the large scale distribution of contents. In this

Error distance of standard Reed-Solomon codes

open access: yes四川大学学报. 自然科学版, 2017
Error distance plays an important role in the decoding of standard Reed-Solomon codes. In 2012, Hong and Wu proposed a famous conjecture of standard Reed-Solomon codes on error distance.

ROBUST BASEDBAND REED SOLOMON DETECTION OVER POWER LINE CHANNEL [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Engineering Science and Technology, 2011
The research studied the transmission of based-band data for conventional Reed Solomon Codes (RS) over hostile impulsive channel such as power-line channels (PLC).

A comparative study of low‐temperature carbonate formation on natural exopolymers from hypersaline microbial mats and clay minerals

open access: yesThe Depositional Record, Volume 12, Issue 3, June 2026.
The data collected during these experiments have shown that carbonates preferentially nucleate on EPS most likely on carboxylic functional groups. The confirmation of preferential nucleation of carbonates on carboxylic groups lends credence to the currently proposed organomineralisation model of low‐T dolomite precipitation.

A remark on conjecture of deep holes of Standard Reed-Solomon codes

open access: yes四川大学学报. 自然科学版, 2016
Reed-Solomon codes are now widely used in digital communication, which are an important class of maximum distance separable codes. we usually use the maximum likelihood decoding algorithm in the decoding process of Reed-Solomon codes.

Recovery‐Oriented Conversations in Psychiatric Care: An Integrated Systematic Review

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mental Health Nursing, Volume 35, Issue 3, June 2026.
ABSTRACT In psychiatric settings, recovery‐oriented care follows a relational, person‐centred approach. In mental health nursing, such care extends beyond merely reducing symptoms to foregrounding hope, identity, meaningfulness, empowerment, and personal agency.

A national assessment of waterbird hunting in coastal wetlands of Suriname, South America

open access: yesConservation Science and Practice, Volume 8, Issue 5, May 2026.
We examined waterbird harvest levels in Suriname using hunter survey data from 2006 and 2016. The analysis showed a significant decline in the average harvest per hunter over the decade, except for blue‐winged teal and migratory shorebirds. However, the sustainability of current harvest levels remains uncertain, underscoring the need for a national ...

Generalized hyperderivative Reed–Solomon codes

open access: yesDesigns, Codes and Cryptography
Abstract This article introduces Generalized Hyperderivative Reed–Solomon codes (GHRS codes), which generalize NRT Reed–Solomon codes. Its main results are as follows: (1) every GHRS code is MDS, (2) the dual of a GHRS code is also an GHRS code, (3) determine subfamilies of GHRS codes whose members are low-density parity-check codes ...

Fisheries Trade and Blue Nutrient Flows in Pacific Island Countries

open access: yesFish and Fisheries, Volume 27, Issue 3, Page 466-477, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Pacific Island Countries (PICs) are located in highly productive fishing regions that supply nutrient‐rich fish to global markets. Marine fisheries are a critical source of protein and essential micronutrients for billions of people worldwide, supporting both local diets and global food security.
