Reed-Solomon(RS) Coding Gain on Correlated Rayleigh Fading

2019 IEEE AFRICON, 2019
This paper investigates the effects of channel coding in correlated fading channels using Reed-Solomon (RS) codes. The bit error probability performance of RS is carried out by considering binary phase shift keying (BFSK) modulation in correlated Rayleigh Fading channels.

Generator Polynomial Model-Based Eye Diagram Estimation Method for Bose-Chaudhuri-Hocquenghem (BCH) Code and Reed-Solomon (RS) Code

IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 2020
This paper proposes a generator polynomial model-based eye diagram estimation method for the error-correction codes (ECCs), which are the Bose–Chaudhuri–Hocquenghem (BCH) code and the Reed–Solomon (RS) code. The ECCs compensate for the channel loss at the bit level, so most of the systems include the ECC block.

Low bandwidth repair of the RS(10,4) Reed-Solomon code

2017 Information Theory and Applications Workshop (ITA), 2017
As an alternative to replication of data blocks, the Hadoop Distributed File System offers the possibility of erasure coding using Reed-Solomon codes. The use of Reed-Solomon codes significantly reduces storage overhead but has more expensive failure recovery.

A New Embedded Chien Search Block for Reed- Solomon (RS) Codes based on Factorization of Error Locator Polynomial

2020 International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Computer Vision (ISCV), 2020
Coding corrector of errors is one of the most vital and emerged system in telecommunication field. In this paper, we propose an efficient new embedded Chien Search block for RS decoder. However, it adopts a factorization of error locator polynomial. The proposed design is developed by using hardware description language (HDL), after that, simulated and ...

Combining Reed-Solomon Codes and OFDM for Impulse Noise Mitigation: RS-OFDM

2006 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics Speed and Signal Processing Proceedings, 2006
In this paper, a joint solution to the design problem of a good error-correcting code for an OFDM scheme with a low Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) in the case of impulse noise is presented. The PAPR problem is tackled by decomposing the circulant channel matrix into parallel channels by using DFT matrices in a Galois field of odd characteristic ...

Application of Compressed Sensing using a Reed Solomon (RS) code based Deterministic Measurement Matrix

2019 10th International Conference on Computing, Communication and Networking Technologies (ICCCNT), 2019
Compressed Sensing (CS) is an emerging technique in the field of acquiring and compressing signals as this technique allows for sampling a signal which is sparse in some domain with a rate well below the limit prescribed by the conventional Shannon-Nyquist sampling theorem.

An analytical analysis of a concatenated Reed-Solomon (RS)/Viterbi coding system both with and without RS interleaving

Eleventh Annual International Phoenix Conference on Computers and Communication [1992 Conference Proceedings], 1992
A new Markov chain (MC) technique which analytically calculates the word, symbol and bit error rates (BERs) of a concatenated Reed-Solomon (RS)/Viterbi coding system in an additive white Gaussian noise environment is presented. This technique can analyze a system with no RS interleaving, ideal RS interleaving, and finite RS interleaving.

Three Parallelization Syndrome Block for Reed Solomon code RS (255, 239) Used in Digital Video Broadcasting DVB-T

Proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Networking, Information Systems & Security, 2019
This article presents a Three Parallelization Syndrome Block for Reed Solomon code RS (255,239) Used In Digital Video Broadcasting DVB-T. This Parallelization is compared with the basic circuit used a serial syndrome computation block. In this paper we developed the design of three parallelization syndrome.

Unequal Error Protection (UEP) Image Transmission System with Lifting Wavelet Transform (LWT) Based Reed Solomon (RS) Coded Cooperation Scheme

IEICE Transactions on Communications, 2011
This paper presents a new unequal error protection (UEP) image transmission system that incorporates a Lifting Wavelet Transform (LWT) and Reed Solomon (RS) coded cooperation scheme to increase image transmission diversity, as well as save transmission bandwidth.
