Magnetic Steganography Based on Wide‐Field Diamond Quantum Microscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 13, Issue 24, August 25, 2025.
This document illustrates magnetic steganography. Magnetic graphics, including pixel art and QR codes, are produced using magnetic materials (such as Ni) and obscure behind patterns manufactured using non‐magnetic materials (such as Au), which are unveiled through widefield quantum microscopy. Furthermore, manipulating the electron spin of NV with dual

Analysis of Channel Coding Performance in OFDM Technique for Underwater Acoustic Communication System

open access: yesEmitter: International Journal of Engineering Technology, 2013
One way to increase the performance of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing System (OFDM) system is by adding a channel coding (error correction code) in order to detect and correct errors that occur when sending data.At communication of acoustic ...

Composite Mapping for Peptide‐Based Data Storage with Higher Coding Density and Fewer Synthesis Cycles

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 27, July 17, 2025.
A novel composite mapping strategy for peptide‐based data storage is presented, which enhances coding density by using composite letters made up of multiple amino acids. This approach significantly increases data encoding capacity, achieving 15 bits per letter.

Commodity risk assessment of Acer plants from Ukraine

open access: yesEFSA Journal, Volume 23, Issue 7, July 2025.
Abstract The European Commission requested the EFSA Panel on Plant Health to prepare and deliver risk assessments for commodities listed in Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/2019 as ’High‐risk plants, plant products and other objects'. This Scientific Opinion covers plant health risks posed by Acer plants (A. griseum, A.

Update-Efficient Regenerating Codes with Minimum Per-Node Storage

open access: yes, 2013
Regenerating codes provide an efficient way to recover data at failed nodes in distributed storage systems. It has been shown that regenerating codes can be designed to minimize the per-node storage (called MSR) or minimize the communication overhead for

Orthogonal Arrays: A Review

open access: yesWIREs Computational Statistics, Volume 17, Issue 2, June 2025.
A four‐run orthogonal array for three two‐level factors. ABSTRACT Orthogonal arrays are arguably one of the most fascinating and important statistical tools for efficient data collection. They have a simple, natural definition, desirable properties when used as fractional factorials, and a rich and beautiful mathematical theory.

Demonstration of Software-Reconfigurable Real-Time FEC-Enabled 4/16/64-QAM-OFDM Signal Transmission in an X-Band RoF System

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2016
In this paper, to the best of our knowledge, this is the first time that the generation and reception of online software-reconfigurable real-time 4/16/64-quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM)-encoded and forward error correction (FEC)-enabled orthogonal ...

BioTIME 2.0: Expanding and Improving a Database of Biodiversity Time Series

open access: yesGlobal Ecology and Biogeography, Volume 34, Issue 5, May 2025.
ABSTRACT Motivation Here, we make available a second version of the BioTIME database, which compiles records of abundance estimates for species in sample events of ecological assemblages through time. The updated version expands version 1.0 of the database by doubling the number of studies and includes substantial additional curation to the taxonomic ...

Cost‐Effective DNA Storage System with DNA Movable Type

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 9, March 6, 2025.
This study presents a cost‐effective “DNA‐movable‐type storage” system inspired by movable type printing. Utilizing reusable prefabricated DNA‐MTs and an automated inkjet printer, BISHENG‐1 stores and retrieves 43.7 KB of data in vitro and in vivo with only 350 DNA‐MTs, achieving storage costs of $122 MB−1–significantly more cost‐efficient than ...
