Noncommutative Geometry and the Standard Model: An overview [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1996
We briefly sketch the noncommutative geometry approach to the Standard Model, with attention to what can be inferred about particle masses.

Cell‐free and extracellular vesicle microRNAs with clinical utility for solid tumors

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cell‐free microRNAs (cfmiRs) are small‐RNA circulating molecules detectable in almost all body biofluids. Innovative technologies have improved the application of cfmiRs to oncology, with a focus on clinical needs for different solid tumors, but with emphasis on diagnosis, prognosis, cancer recurrence, as well as treatment monitoring.

Standardize: Aligning Language Models with Expert-Defined Standards for Content Generation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Domain experts across engineering, healthcare, and education follow strict standards for producing quality content such as technical manuals, medication instructions, and children's reading materials. However, current works in controllable text generation have yet to explore using these standards as references for control.

The standard sign conjecture on algebraic cycles: the case of Shimura varieties [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
We show how to deduce the standard sign conjecture (a weakening of the K\"unneth standard conjecture) for Shimura varieties from some statements about discrete automorphic representations (Arthur's conjectures plus a bit more). We also indicate what is known (to us) about these statements.

Challenges of implementing Iranian national laboratory standards.

open access: yesIranian Journal of Public Health, 2013
After four years of publishing the Iranian National Laboratory Standard and following a strategic plan to implement its requirements, it was decided to review the taken actions, evaluating the achievements and the failures, as well as analyzing the gaps ...

KRAS and GNAS mutations in cell‐free DNA and in circulating epithelial cells in patients with intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms—an observational pilot study

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that KRAS and GNAS mutations are more prevalent in patients with resected intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMN) compared to those under clinical surveillance. GNAS mutations significantly differ between the two patient cohorts, indicating that their absence may serve as a potential biomarker to support conservative ...

Apparatus description and data analysis of a radiometric technique for measurements of spectral and total normal emittance [PDF]

open access: yes
The development of a radiometric technique for determining the spectral and total normal emittance of materials heated to temperatures of 800, 1100, and 1300 K by direct comparison with National Bureau of Standards (NBS) reference specimens is discussed.

Cellular liquid biopsy provides unique chances for disease monitoring, preclinical model generation and therapy adjustment in rare salivary gland cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We quantified and cultured circulating tumor cells (CTCs) of 62 patients with various cancer types and generated CTC‐derived tumoroid models from two salivary gland cancer patients. Cellular liquid biopsy‐derived information enabled molecular genetic assessment of systemic disease heterogeneity and functional testing for therapy selection in both ...
