Magnetic correlations of two iso-structural quasi-one-dimensional (1D) antiferromagnetic spin-chain compounds Sr$M_2$V$_2$O$_8$ ($M$ = Co, Mn) have been investigated by magnetization and powder neutron diffraction.

Refined limiting imbeddings for Sobolev spaces of vector-valued functions
The authors consider vector-valued Sobolev, Besov, and Triebel-Lizorkin spaces of functions with values in a general Banach space; in general, these spaces may lack the UMD property. The authors prove a refined limiting embedding theorem of the Brézis-Wainger type in the critical case. The main result reads as follows: Theorem 3.

Several Studies on Framelets Derived From Compactly Supported Refinable Vector Functions
Generalizing wavelets by adding desired redundancy and flexibility, framelets (a.k.a. wavelet frames) are of interest and importance in many applications such as image processing and numerical algorithms. Several key properties of framelets are high vanishing moments for sparse multi-scale representation, fast framelet transforms for numerical ...

TECHNICAL REPORT: The Instability of Ex Post and Robust Aggregation without State-Consequence Separation [PDF]
We prove the results of Hild (2001a, 2001b) in a framework that does not presuppose the separation of states and consequences. We introduce additional assumptions to make up for the structure that is lost by abandoning the representation of acts as ...

Subdivision Directional Fields
We present a novel linear subdivision scheme for face-based tangent directional fields on triangle meshes. Our subdivision scheme is based on a novel coordinate-free representation of directional fields as halfedge-based scalar quantities, bridging the ...

On stable refinable function vectors with arbitrary support
This paper studies the stability property of a refinable function vector in the space of \(L^2\) using the transfer operator (also called the transition operator in the literature of wavelets). Generalizing a result of Gundy from scalar refinable functions to refinable function vectors, under conditions such as the existence of a refinable function ...
