From Lineage Discovery to Conservation Prioritisation: An Integrative Genomic Framework Applied to a Model Damselfly System

open access: yesMolecular Ecology, Volume 35, Issue 11, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Accurate inferences of diversification and evolutionary processes depend on knowing how many independently evolving lineages exist within nominally widespread taxa. Uncertainty in lineage number and composition also limits our ability to meaningfully prioritise conservation efforts.

Genotype–Phenotype Discordance in Cardiomyopathies: Pathophysiology, Clinical Expression, and Therapeutic Considerations

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Cardiomyopathies encompass a spectrum of myocardial disorders often attributed to underlying genetic mutations. However, genotype–phenotype discordance where the genetic profile does not align with the expected clinical presentation poses significant diagnostic, prognostic, and therapeutic challenges.

Secondary Preservice Agriculture Education Teachers\u27 Professional Knowledge Bases & Collective Pedagogical Content Knowledge

open access: yes, 2022
School-based agricultural education programs use laboratories to develop cognitive, psychomotor, and procedural skills (Phipps et al., 2008). It is important to help preservice teachers develop the ability to design instruction to cultivate skills that ...

Projected 21st Century Changes in Precipitation and Temperature Over Italy Using CMIP6 CMCC‐CM2‐SR5 Model and COSMO‐CLM Dynamical Downscaling

open access: yesInternational Journal of Climatology, Volume 46, Issue 6, May 2026.
This study evaluates the COSMO‐CLM regional climate model over Italy under CMIP6 scenarios. Compared to its driving global model, COSMO‐CLM reduces temperature biases by 50%–75% and better represents precipitation and extremes, adding critical mesoscale detail.

Microplastic addition has no detectable effect on ecosystem metabolism or diel dinitrogen flux in a large in‐lake mesocosm experiment under oligotrophic conditions

open access: yesLimnology and Oceanography, Volume 71, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract Ecosystem metabolism (e.g., gross primary production [GPP], respiration [R], and net ecosystem production) integrates the activity of aerobic organisms and is an indicator of environmental change. Microplastics (i.e., particles 1–5 mm) are widespread in freshwater ecosystems and are colonized by biofilms and other organisms.

Characterising European Low Renewable Availability Events in Present and Future Climate Model Data

open access: yesMeteorological Applications, Volume 33, Issue 3, May/June 2026.
Low renewable power events are an increasing concern for European electricity systems. Energy‐climate datasets provide a credible basis to explore these events, though care is needed in data handling. Storyline scenarios provide a tractable representation of diverse possible futures, but more extensive climate data is required to build confidence ...
