C‐mannosylation is a unique form of protein glycosylation. In this study, we demonstrated that ADAMTS1 is C‐mannosylated at Trp562 and Trp565 in human testicular germ cell tumor NEC8 cells. We found that C‐mannosylation of ADAMTS1 is essential for its secretion, processing, enzymatic activity, and ability to promote vasculogenic mimicry. These findings

Process optimization for the removal of environmental contaminants from fish oils
Fish oils are rich in nutritionally valuable omega-3 components, mainly eicosapentaenoic (EPA) and docosahexaenoic (DHA) fatty acids. Unfortunately, they could also be contaminated with a series of toxic pollutants like PCDD/Fs and PCBs.

When performing traditional abdominoplasty, three fundamental defects of the abdominal wall must always be addressed by the plastic surgeon. They include redundant skin, excess fat, and musculofascial laxity. Plastic surgeons have found that this procedure consists of dermolipectomy and rectus plication, extremely effective in restoring the abdomen to ...

Increasing the Hardwood Content on the Furnish by Separate Refining [PDF]
Introduction It is an old papermaker\u27s adage that paper is made in the beater. This means that the performance and the physical properties of the paper are determined by the type and the extent of the mechanical action to which the fibers are ...

Phytohormone brassinosteroid‐induced gene regulation by the transcription factor BIL1/BZR1 involves redox‐dependent DNA‐binding alternation and interaction with the transcription factor PIF4. The reduced BIL1/BZR1 dimer binds preferred cis‐elements, while oxidation alters its oligomerization state and disrupts DNA‐binding ability.

Structural dynamics of the plant hormone receptor ETR1 in a native‐like membrane environment
The present study unveils the structural and signaling dynamics of ETR1, a key plant ethylene receptor. Using an optimized nanodisc system and solution NMR, we captured full‐length ETR1 in a native‐like membrane environment. Our findings reveal dynamic domain uncoupling and Cu(I)‐induced rigidification, providing the first evidence of metal‐triggered ...
