Development of Aluminum Scandium Alloys for Hydrogen Storage Valves
Different aluminum alloy series and various aluminum‐scandium alloys with differing Sc and Zr levels are evaluated for use in hydrogen storage valve production. The alloys undergo hardness testing, optical microscopy, and tensile strength analysis, with hardening behavior studied under varying conditions.

Study of hot deformation behavior of CuFe2 alloy [PDF]
Nil strength temperature of 1062 degrees C and nil ductility temperature of 1040 degrees C were experimentally set for CuFe2 alloy. The highest formability at approx. 1020 degrees C is unusable due to massive grain coarsening.

High‐performance nickel‐based superalloys are often not processible in additive manufacturing (AM) due to hot cracking. The findings in this manuscript propose an efficient method to mitigate cracking and enhance mechanical properties of these alloys by producing a metal matrix composite, contributing to the material and process perspective of the AM ...

This work reveals the phase composition and quantitative morphology analysis of precipitation‐hardened Fe32Cu12Ni11Ti16Al29 complex‐concentrated alloy. The precipitates are shown to have a high coherency. Morphology transition between sphere, cuboidal, and elongated morphology is observed. Finally, the overaging behavior is captured using microhardness.

Fe‐ and Mn‐containing AlSi alloys undergo aluminothermic reaction with Mn oxide in sessile‐drop and crucible experiments forming poor‐wetting Al2O3 while Mn enriches in the alloy. Primary Fe‐containing particles are preferentially attached to the Mn oxide.

In this work, the authors proposed a modification of the working space one-strand tundish adapted for slab casting process. Numerical simulations of liquid steel flow in the considered flow reactor were performed. The tundish is equipped with a dam with a multi-hole filter. Two variants of the filter hole arrangement were tested and their effect on the

Water Model and CFD-PBM Coupled Model of Gas-Liquid-Slag Three-Phase Flow in Ladle Metallurgy
In dispersed gas-liquid flow, the gas bubble diameter distribution plays a significant role in the phase structure and interphase forces, and determines the multiphase hydrodynamic behaviors.
