Study on in-plane optical anisotropy of Si0.75Ge0.25/Si/Si0.5Ge0.5 asymmetric superlattice by reflectance difference spectroscopy - art. no. 071908

open access: yes, 2006
Si0.75Ge0.25/Si/Si0.5Ge0.5 trilayer asymmetric superlattices were prepared on Si (001) substrate by ultrahigh vacuum chemical vapor deposition at 500 degrees C.

Electrode and Microstructure Dependence of Oxygen Diffusion in Ferroelectric Hafnium Zirconium Oxide Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Significant nanoscale oxygen diffusion coefficient variations are measured in ferroelectric hafnium zirconium oxide films with grain boundaries and electrode interfaces exhibiting values 104 times larger than the grain cores. Overall coefficients are 10X larger for films prepared with metal nitride electrodes compared to refractory metals. New insights

In-plane optical anisotropy in GaAsN/GaAs single-quantum well investigated by reflectance-difference spectroscopy

open access: yes, 2010
The interface properties of GaNxAs1-x/GaAs single-quantum well is investigated at 80 K by reflectance difference spectroscopy. Strong in-plane optical anisotropies (IPOA) are observed. Numerical calculations based on a 4 band K .

Integrated Field‐Free SOT Domain‐Wall Synapses and MTJ Stochastic Neurons for Hardware Boltzmann Machines

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Field‐free spin‐orbit torque domain‐wall synapses integrated with stochastic MTJ neurons enable compact hardware Boltzmann machines. Leveraging intrinsic stochasticity and multi‐level conductance, the system achieves efficient probabilistic learning with high accuracy, demonstrating a scalable spintronic platform for energy‐efficient edge AI.

Reflectance anisotropy and Raman scattering spectroscopy studies of ZnSe grown on GaAs(001)

open access: yes, 1995
Using an evaporation chamber equipped with a ZnSe compound source, we have grown ZnSe on GaAs(001) and characterized the surface using low-energy electron diffraction (LEED), Raman scattering spectroscopy and reflectance anisotropy spectroscopy (RAS ...

Tuning Separator Chemistry: Improving Zn Anode Compatibility via Functionalized Chitin Nanofibers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Nanochitin derived from waste shrimp shells is used to fabricate separators for aqueous zinc batteries. By tuning the density of amine and carboxylic surface groups, water mobility at the separator interface is controlled, promoting uniform zinc deposition, suppressing dendrite growth, and enabling exceptional cycling stability exceeding 2000 h ...

A combined scanning tunneling microscopy and reflectance anisotropy spectroscopy investigation of tetraphenylporphyrin deposited on graphite

open access: yes, 2006
The ordering properties of tetraphenylporphyrin molecules sublimated on a highly oriented pyrolitic graphite surface have been investigated. The morphological information obtained by scanning tunneling microscopy has been linked with the optical spectra ...

Large Transverse Thermoelectric Effect in Weyl Semimetal TaIrTe4 Engineered for Photodetection

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This experimental work shows that the anomalous scanning photocurrent response patterns of the Weyl semimetal TaIrTe4${\rm TaIrTe}_4$ under visible and long‐wave infrared illumination are due to a large transverse thermoelectric response of the material.
