Frequency Tunable Graphene Metamaterial Reflectarray

Wireless Personal Communications, 2017
In this paper, the radiation characteristics of frequency tunable graphene based metamaterial reflectarray have been investigated. The unit-cell consists of graphene two gaps split-ring-resonator (SRR) printed on a thick SiO2 substrate. The metamaterial parameters of the unit-cell have been calculated at different graphene chemical potentials and ...

3-D-Printed All-Metal Conformal Circularly Polarized Reflectarray Antenna at X-Band

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation
This article presents a proposal for a 3-D-printed all-metal conformal circularly polarized (CP) reflectarray antenna operating in the X-band. The reflectarray element is constructed with a quasi-I-shaped arm with a pillar at the center as support.

1-bit Reflectarray Element Based on a Single Switch for Reconfigurable Reflectarrays

2019 Antennas Design and Measurement International Conference (ADMInC), 2019
In this paper, we present a new reconfigurable element using p-i-n diode for reconfigurable reflectarray antennas. The element cell is realized using a single substrate, a ground plane and only a single p-i-n diode embedded in the element, hence very low complexity.

Microstrip patches for a reflectarray

IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium. 1999 Digest. Held in conjunction with: USNC/URSI National Radio Science Meeting (Cat. No.99CH37010), 2003
Microstrip patch element geometry is indeed an important factor in the design of a microstrip reflectarray. In essence, each of these perfectly conductive elements creates a minuscule correction to the reflection phase of the scattered field so that a phase coherent main beam is constructed.

A 10 240-Element Reconfigurable Reflectarray With Fast Steerable Monopulse Patterns

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2021
A large-scale 1-bit reconfigurable reflectarray with the feature of fast steerable monopulse patterns has been designed and tested at ${X}$ -band. The reflectarray element integrates one PIN diode to reconfigure the reflective phase between 0° and 180°.

Aperiodic conformal reflectarrays

2011 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation (APSURSI), 2011
We introduce a new class of reflectarrays, namely, the aperiodic conformal reflectarrays, aimed at exploiting, as much as possible, the available degrees of freedom of the radiating structure, such as positions, orientations and characteristics of the radiating elements and the shape of the reflecting surface.

A Dual-Circularly Polarized Magneto-Electric Dipole Reflectarray With Independent Beam Control

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters
A wideband dual-circularly polarized (dual-CP) magneto-electric dipole reflectarray with independent beam control is reported. A dual-CP phase shifting unit cell is proposed to provide independent phase manipulation on the two CP waves.

Bandwidth study of microstrip reflectarray and a novel phased reflectarray concept

IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium. 1995 Digest, 2002
A microstrip reflectarray is a flat reflector antenna that can be conformally mounted onto its supporting structure without consuming a significant amount of real estate and without adding significant mass. The article concentrates on the bandwidth study of a form of reflectarray that uses identical patches with different-length transmission delay ...
