Broadband Lumped Mirror Array mmWave Antenna for Wireless and Defense Systems

open access: yesJournal of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
This article introduces a novel lumped mirror array mmWave antenna designed for multiband microwave applications, including 5G, satellite communication, and defense systems. The antenna operates over a broad frequency range from 4.7 to 67.63 GHz, offering excellent impedance bandwidth of 70.4%. Developed on an FR‐4 substrate with dimensions of 160 × 70

Reflectarray Antenna for Simultaneous Near-Field Fronthaul and Far-Field Backhaul Links in Next 5G FR2 Femtocells

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Antennas and Propagation
This work presents a reflectarray-based base station antenna to integrate both backhaul (BH) and fronthaul (FH). The reflectarray operates at 28 GHz in dual linear polarization, using one polarization for the BH and another for the FH. The BH is a pencil

Axially symmetric dual‐reflectarray antennas

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2014
An axially symmetric dual‐reflectarray antenna is proposed. A main reflectarray is designed to mimic a paraboloidal main reflector, and a sub‐reflectarray is designed to mimic a hyperboloidal or an ellipsoidal sub‐reflector. The dual‐reflectarray antenna is more compact than the conventional curved dual reflector.

Design, manufacture and measurement of a low-cost reflectarray for global earth coverage [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In this work a low-cost reflectarray with isoflux pattern for global Earth coverage is designed, manufactured and measured at 30GHz. The isoflux template is mathematically derived for a generic satellite and then particularized for a geostationary orbit.
