A Wideband Tunable Reflection-Type Phase Shifter With Wide Relative Phase Shift
IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs, 2017Wide bandwidth, wide tunable phase range, and a compact circuit size are always desired for the tunable phase shifter utilized in the modern wireless communication system. However, the existing reflection-type phase shifter configurations cannot satisfy all these requirements simultaneously.

A scalable reflection type phase shifter with large phase variation
IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters, 2005We describe a reflection type phase shifter which exhibits a large phase shift range. We characterized its response between 1.95 GHz and 2.15 GHz and achieved over 400/spl deg/ phase shift with less than 4dB insertion loss. The transition time from 0/spl deg/ to 180/spl deg/ is

MEMS variable-capacitor phase shifters part II: Reflection-type phase shifters
International Journal of RF and Microwave Computer-Aided Engineering, 2003A novel design procedure for reflection-type phase shifters using capacitive devices is developed. Using this approach, a phase shifter for operation at 26.5 GHz is developed using MEMS variable capacitors reported in Part I of this article. A design optimization procedure is discussed.

A reflection-type phase shifter controlled by a piezoelectric transducer
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2011AbstractA tunable reflection‐type phase shifter, which consists of a quadrature coupler and a piezoelectric transducer (PET), is presented. The proposed phase shifter shows double phase shifts of the conventional PET‐controlled phase shifter by calculation.

60 GHz Reflection Type Phase Shifter based on liquid crystal
For the first time, a compact 60 GHz band phase shifter incorporating liquid crystal (LC) is presented. Based on the Reflection Type Phase Shifter (RTPS) structure, it comprises a 3-dB coupler and tunable reflective loads formed on a nematic LC substrate. The LC used to form the substrate is known as E7.

Reflection-Type Ferroelectric Phase Shifter With Defected Ground Structure
Integrated Ferroelectrics, 2004In order to obtain a low-loss ferroelectric phase shifter, we were designed and fabricated the reflection-type ferroelectric phase shifter with the defected ground structure (DGS) resonators. The ferroelectric phase shifter is consisted of a 3-dB 90° branch-line hybrid coupler and terminated reflective circuit with tunable ferroelectric DGS resonator ...

Design of Compact Reflection-Type Phase Shifters With High Figure-of-Merit
IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2015This paper presents reflection-type phase shifters (RTPSs) with very high figure-of-merit (FoM) and low insertion-loss variation, achieving up to 360 $^{\circ}$ relative phase shifts. Two compact topologies are proposed. They were implemented at the working frequency of 2 GHz on a printed circuit board technology.

A Reflection Type Phase Shifter for Reconfigurable Reflectarrays at 240 GHz
2021 IEEE Radio and Wireless Symposium (RWS), 2021In this work, a high frequency reflection-type phase shifter implemented in 0.13 μm SiGe HBT technology is presented. It is based on a single-pole single-throw switch topology, utilizing HBTs in reverse-saturation. The phase shifter achieves a return loss of -2.8/-2.5 dB for a phase control of 90.4° at 240 GHz, respectively.
