Wideband and Electronically Tunable Microwave Phase Shifter Using Varactors with Relative Phase Shifts up to 360°

open access: yes, 2021
In this work we present a new design of a Wideband Reflection-Type Tunable Phase Shifter (WRTTPS) for smart front-ends applications. The proposed WRTTPS is based on a short-circuited 3- dB/90° Branch-Line Coupler (BLC), whose characteristics can be ...

Disentangling Bulk and Surface Contributions to Charge and Discharge Fading in High‐Voltage LiCoO2

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
High‐voltage operation of LiCoO2 accelerates capacity fading through bulk and surface degradation. By introducing a LiTaO3 coating to selectively suppress surface degradation, bulk and surface contributions to charge and discharge fading are decoupled.

Chitin‐Derived Carbon‐Metal Functional Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Functional carbon materials are synthesized from combination of biopolymer (chitin) and iron precursors. The resultant material exhibits superior surface area and adsorptive properties compared to carbon materials synthesized directly from pure chitin.

A 6-18 GHz 5-Bit Phase Shifter MMIC Using Series/Parallel LC Circuit [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
A high performance 6-18 GHz 5-bit reflection type phase shifter MMIC is presented. It employs a novel ultra-broad-band circuit design technique utilizing a series/parallel LC circuit for an 180 o phase shift over all frequencies.

Upcycling Keratin‐Based Textile Waste Into High‐Performance Hybrid Fibers Via Tuning the Interfacial Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Keratin recovered from animal‐hair textile waste is fractionated and blended with cellulose to produce continuously spun hybrid fibers. Selecting the high‐molecular‐weight keratin fraction enables 30 wt.% keratin incorporation while maintaining high strength in dry and wet states.

Stereometric Molecular Engineering for Ultra‐Stable Aqueous Zinc‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 86, 26 October 2026.
Stereochemical configuration of molecular additives greatly influences interfacial adsorption at the Zn surface. The optimal tilted dual‐anchored adsorption geometry of myo‐inositol constructs a water‐deficient interface and regulates the solvation structure.

Wideband RF photonic vector sum phase-shifter

open access: yes, 2003
A novel broadband linear phase phase-shifter based on the vector summation method is proposed. A photonic implementation of the phase-shifter with a continuously variable linear phase-shift up to 120° over the frequency range of DC-4 GHz is demonstrated.

A C-band wideband 360° analog phase shifter design

open access: yes, 2009
This article proposes a reflection-type wideband 360° analogue phase shifter in microstrip form. It employs a 3-dB branch-line coupler circuit to achieve a wideband operation and two varactor-diode circuits to achieve 360° phase shift.

Covalent Functionalization of 2D Semiconductors: A Roadmap to Advanced Electronic Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This Review presents recent advances in the covalent functionalization strategies for two‐dimensional semiconductors and their implementation in modern technologies. Layered materials are modified through diverse molecular chemistries (e.g., thiols, diazonium salts, alkyl halides, and electron‐deficient species) to tailor their surface properties ...

Millimetre-wave wideband reflection-type CPW MMIC phase shifter

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2002
A reflection-type coplanar waveguide (CPW) phase shifter fabricated using a standard monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) process is presented. Air-gap overlay CPW couplers were employed for wideband 3 dB coupling and low loss at millimetre wave. The two-stage cascaded analogue phase shifter showed insertion losses of 6.9 /spl plusmn/ 1.6 dB,
