Structure‐Guided Balancing of Ambipolar Transport Enables Symmetric Switching in Heterojunction Bilayer Organic Transistor Inverters

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 86, 26 October 2026.
Balancing the spatially separated p‐ and n‐type transport pathways in heterojunction‐bilayer OTFTs enables symmetric inverter switching (VM ≈ 0.5VDD), whereas discrete integration of unipolar OTFTs gives polarity‐dependent and resistive responses. ABSTRACT High inverter performance in ambipolar organic electronics requires balanced channel strengths ...

Charge‐Polarized Ni─S4 Single‐Atom Sites Drive Selective Photoreforming of Poly(lactic acid) to Lactate and Hydrogen

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Atomically dispersed Ni–S4 sites on CdS nanorods induce interfacial charge polarization, directing photogenerated electrons to H2 evolution and holes to selective ester‐bond cleavage of poly(lactic acid). Without sacrificial reagents, this charge‐coupled system produces lactate while suppressing overoxidation, achieving an H2 evolution rate of 41.74 ...

Hopping‐Mediated Zero‐Bias Photocharge Retention in Solution‐Processed Van Der Waals Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Liquid–liquid interface assembly enables the fabrication of solution‐processed MoS2 and WSe2 centimeter‐scale, nanometer‐thick type‐II heterostructures on paper. Interfacial charge separation and hopping‐limited recombination produce rectification and persistent photocharge retention at zero bias.

Circularly Polarized Electroluminescence and Spin‐Polarized Carrier Transport in Chiral‐Doped Polymer Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Chiral dopants induce supramolecular chirality in an achiral polymer (PFO), generating spin‐polarized carriers via the chiral‐induced spin selectivity (CISS) and suggesting a possible contribution of Spin‐polarized carrier transport to circularly polarized electroluminescence (CPEL).

Complex loads for millimeter-wave digital phase shifter design

open access: yes, 2011
The design of a reflection-type digital phase shifter comprising complex loads at the coupler's 3dB output ports is presented. These loads provide the possibility of adjusting both the phase increment and the phase frequency response.

Advanced characterization of a W-band phase shifter based on liquid crystals and MEMS technology

open access: yes, 2012
In this paper, we present a continuously tunable phase shifter realized in MEMS technology. Varactors with liquid crystal as a tunable dielectric layer underneath gold bridges are used to build a loaded line phase shifter.

Photoinduced Charge Separation in Single‐Component Squaraine Films: The Key Role of Electrostatic Disorder

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Neat films of organic dyes are an interesting technological platform for solar cells and photodetectors. Recently, the conventional biphasic bulk‐heterojunction paradigm for photoinduced charge separation was challenged by the observation that charge carriers can be photogenerated in single‐component materials. A comprehensive experimental and

Design for a linear voltage-controlled 360°-analog phase shifter

open access: yes, 2010
The article presents the design of a linear voltage-controlled 360° analog phase shifter operating at 2.2 GHz. It is a reflection-type with a simple and compact structure, using a λ/4-coupled-line coupler with the output ports terminated with identical ...
