Reflection Coefficients of Polynomials and Stable Polytopes

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2009
The geometry of stable discrete polynomials using their coefficients and reflection coefficients is investigated. Two linear Schur invariant transformations with a free parameter in the polynomial coefficient space are introduced. The first transformation Rfrn times RfrrarrRfrn maps an arbitrary stable polytope into another stable polytope.

Coefficients of reflection by “weak” boundaries of separation

Journal of Soviet Mathematics, 1978
The coefficients of reflection from a surface on which the n-th derivative of the velocity suffers a discontinuity are constructed in the ray approximation.

Reflection Coefficients and Poles

1990
Let V(x) be a real Schrodinger potential with no bound-states. Deift and Trubowitz [1] showed that, if V(x) satisfies the condition $$\int_{{ - \infty }}^{\infty } {dx[1 + {{x}^{2}}]|V(x)| < \infty ,}$$ (1) then solutions of the Schrodinger equation, $$\left\{ { - {{{\left[ {\frac{d}{{dx}}} \right]}}^{2}} + V(x)} \right\}\psi \pm (x ...

A mirror with an intensity-dependent reflection coefficient

Applied Physics B Photophysics and Laser Chemistry, 1988
A device exhibiting a power-dependent reflection coefficient with fast time response and no frequency shift is proposed and analysed. It utilizes a combination of a nonlinear crystal for second harmonic generation and a dichroic mirror with high reflectivity for the second harmonic and partial transmission for the fundamental wavelenth. This device has

Some remarks about reflection coefficient.

Archivio di fisiologia, 1973
Biological membranes selectivity for solutes is measured by the reflection coefficient σ, defined as σ = (ΔP/Δπ)Jv=0 where ΔP is the hydrostatic pressure difference required to zero the volumetric flow Jv driven by an osmotic pressure difference Δπ of the considered solute.

Reflection Coefficient Estimation by Pseudospectrum Matching.

2012
This paper presents a novel model-based method for in-situ estimation of sound reflection coefficients in acoustic enclosures. The method uses a modeling engine for simulation of acoustic propagation and generation of the spatial pseudospectrumusing a beamforming technique.
