Reflection Principles in Computational Logic
We introduce the concept of reflection principles as a knowledge representation paradigm in a computational logic setting. Reflection principles are expressed as certain kinds of logic schemata intended to capture the basic properties of the domain ...

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Notes on Local Reflection Principles
We study the hierarchy of reflection principles obtained by restricting the full local reflection schema to the classes of the arithmetical hierarchy. Optimal conservation results w.r.t.

In Situ Micromechanical Study of Bimodal γ′–γ″ Precipitate Assemblies in Ni–Cr–Al–Nb Superalloy
A Ni–Cr–Al–Nb superalloy with a bimodal γ′–γ″ precipitate distribution is developed. Composite precipitate assemblies form through heterogeneous nucleation, effectively impeding dislocation motion. Micropillar compression reveals high strength at room and elevated temperatures, governed by precipitate shearing, with coupled faulting mechanisms ...

Reflection Principles and Ordinal Analysis [PDF]
It is a well-known empirical phenomenon that natural axiomatic theories are pre-well-ordered by proof-theoretic strength. However, without a precise definition of ``natural,'' it is not clear how to explain this observation in a strictly mathematical way.

An Experimental High‐Throughput Approach for the Screening of Hard Magnet Materials
An entire workflow for the high‐throughput characterization and analysis of compositionally graded magnetic films is presented. Characterization protocols, data management tools and data analysis approaches are illustrated with test case Sm(Fe, V)12 based films.

Truth, Reflection, and Commitment
Ever since the discovery of the arithmetical incompleteness phenomena, proof-theoretic reflection principles have been intensively investigated in mathematical logic. But reflection principles also have philosophical significance.
