Use of bupivacaine‐infused absorbable gelatin haemostatic sponge following eye enucleation in a corn snake

open access: yesVeterinary Record Case Reports, Volume 11, Issue 1, March 2023., 2023
Abstract A 9‐year‐old, male, 0.69 kg, corn snake was referred for enucleation of its right eye. Pre‐anaesthetic medication consisted of butorphanol (1 mg/kg) and alfaxalone (10 mg/kg) intramuscularly. Orotracheal intubation was then performed. General anaesthesia was maintained with sevoflurane in 100% oxygen.

Comparison of Weight‐Gain‐Based Prediction Models for Retinopathy of Prematurity in an Australian Population

open access: yesJournal of Ophthalmology, Volume 2023, Issue 1, 2023., 2023
Purpose. Four weight‐gain‐based algorithms are compared for the prediction of type 1 ROP in an Australian cohort: the weight, insulin‐like growth factor, neonatal retinopathy of prematurity (WINROP) algorithm, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Retinopathy of Prematurity (CHOPROP), the Colorado Retinopathy of Prematurity (CO‐ROP) algorithm, and ...
