Cellular and molecular mechanisms of inflammation of esophageal mucosa under different

open access: yesТерапевтический архив, 2018
The review presents modern data on the cellular and molecular mechanisms of inflammatory changes of esophageal mucosa exposed to different types of reluctate (gastric, biliary or duodenal/mixed). The authors describe data on key mediators of inflammation

The Role of Pepsinogenes and Some Intestinal Hormones in Pathogenesis of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
80 patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) were examined. The diagnosis of GERD was based on the history of the disease, complaints of patients, the results of daily monitoring of pH in the lower third of the esophagus, data of ...

Synthesis and characterization of ferromagnetic cobalt nanospheres, nanodiscs and nanocubes [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology 9, 5627 (2009), 2009
We report the synthesis of cobalt nanoparticles with different shapes and sizes by rapid pyrolysis of cobalt carbonyl in the presence of various surfactants. The size and shape of the nanoparticles were influenced by reaction conditions, such as type of the surfactant, molar ratio of surfactant to precursor, reflux temperature and reaction time.

Constructing Covalent Organic Polymers through Dative B─N Bonds: Synthesis, Single Crystal Structures, and Physical Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Dynamic linkages are highly attractive in preparing single crystals of covalent organic polymers (COPs). Here, single crystals of two COPs CityU‐15 and CityU‐16 based on reversible B─N bonds are constructed using tetra(4‐pyridyl)tetrathiafulvalene and tetra(4‐pyridyl)porphine as monomers.

The assessment of patients with non-erosive gastroesophageal reflux disease by using the Bravo® pH monitoring system

open access: yesSanamed, 2022
Background and aim: Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a common disease in the world. GERD is always treated with drugs. The Bravo® wireless pH monitoring system is a good technique. The Bravo® may affect increasing the specificity and sensitivity

Comparing the Performance of Statistical Adjustment Methods By Recovering the Experimental Benchmark from the REFLUX Trial [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
Much evidence in comparative effectiveness research is based on observational studies. Researchers who conduct observational studies typically assume that there are no unobservable differences between the treated and control groups. Treatment effects are estimated after adjusting for observed differences between treated and controls. However, treatment

Possible Dark States induced by a Surface Wave along a Vacuum-Matter Boundary [PDF]

open access: yesInt.J.Theor.Phys.48:3547-3557,2009, 2009
Possible dark states could be induced after derivations of the entrainment of matter induced by a surface wave propagating along the flexible vacuum-matter boundary by considering the nonlinear coupling between the interface and the rarefaction effect. The nonrelativistic limit of the relativistic Navier-Stokes equations was considered and analytically

Advances in Radiative Heat Transfer: Bridging Far‐Field Fundamentals and Emerging Near‐Field Innovations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review synthesizes the evolution of radiative heat transfer, emphasizing the transition from far‐field to near‐field regimes. Traditional frameworks, such as Planck's law, are revisited alongside modern innovations like fluctuational electrodynamics. Applications span nanoscale thermal management, energy harvesting, and thermophotovoltaic systems.
