Effect of refrigerant charge on the performance of air-conditioning systems
An air-conditioning system operates in an optimal condition if the system is fully charged with a specified amount of refrigerant. Poor field maintenance or refrigerant leakage causes a low level of charge resulting in a lower thermal performance and higher operating cost.

Hypoxia‐adaptive bioelectronics based on poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS)/polydopamine (PDA)/enzyme biocomposites couple O2‐centric biosensing with embedded O2 therapy to address oxygen‐deficient chronic wounds. Local O2 provision restores enzyme‐based metabolite sensing, while catalase‐mediated oxygen generation and

Differential Tissue‐Coupled Powering for Battery‐Free Injectable Electroceuticals
A thread‐like injectable neural stimulator is powered through differential tissue‐coupled powering (DTCP), which harvests RF‐frequency tissue potentials with an elongated receiver while preserving a injectable cross‐section. The system integrates an ASIC, stimulation electrodes, and a portable transmitter, enabling wireless peripheral nerve stimulation,

Phase‐Dependent Oxygen Defect Energetics in Epitaxial NbN/AlN/NbN Films
Phase dependent oxygen defect energetics in epitaxial δ‐NbN/AlN/δ‐NbN and β‐Nb2N/AlN/β‐Nb2N trilayers. Atomic‐scale analysis and first‐principles calculations reveal distinct oxygen incorporation pathways across NbN polymorphs. Layer resolved defect formation energies show that O is energetically more favorable within δ‐NbN electrodes, whereas in β ...

Drop‐location sensitivity remains a key barrier to practical droplet‐based electricity generators (DEGs). Here, a polydimethylsiloxane slippery covalently attached liquid (PDMS‐SCAL)‐coated interface promotes droplet sliding instead of splitting or bouncing, allowing stable electricity generation from randomly falling raindrops. The resulting PDMS‐SCAL‐

Calculation Model of a Refrigerant Mass for Leak Detection in a Refrigeration System
A leakage monitoring method in a refrigeration system based on a theoretical model of refrigerant charge is proposed. In this method, a theoretical model based on a temperature signal is developed, and the refrigerant mass in each component of the ...
