Regenerative Yb:KLuW thin disk amplifier

CLEO/Europe - EQEC 2009 - European Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics and the European Quantum Electronics Conference, 2009
Ytterbium doped monoclinic double tungstates, like Yb:KYW or Yb:KGW, are attractive gain media for ultrafast laser and amplifier systems, respectively. This is owing to the high absorption and emission cross-section peaks and the broad emission bandwidth.

Transistor Pulse Regenerative Amplifiers

Bell System Technical Journal, 1956
A pulse regenerative amplifier is a bistate circuit which introduces gain and pulse reshaping in a pulse transmission or digital data processing system. Frequently it is used also to retime the pulses which constitute the flow of information in such systems.

Regenerative amplifiers with one phase-conjugate mirror

Optics Letters, 1984
We study the operating characteristics of a cavity with a gain medium inside and one phase-conjugate mirror as a regenerative amplifier. We show that, for this cavity to work efficiently, the phase-conjugate mirror must have a reflectivity in a certain range determined by the reflectivity of the ordinary mirror.

Regenerative amplifier with variable pulse width

Technical Digest. CLEO/Pacific Rim 2001. 4th Pacific Rim Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics (Cat. No.01TH8557), 2002
A Nd:glass regenerative amplifier has been set up, in which the bandwidth of the amplified pulse is about 3 nm at 1064 nm. By adjusting the cavity length of regenerative amplifier, the widths of amplified pulse are variable from 300 ps to 3 ns, in case of the /spl sim/300 ps seed pulse.

CO2 Regenerative Ring Power Amplifiers

Journal of Applied Physics, 1971
An unidirectional regenerative ring CO2 power amplifier is described. Both below threshold (unconditionally stable) and above threshold (conditionally stable) operation are discussed. Analytic expressions for a homogeneously broadened medium are presented for the power extracted from the active medium, the circulating power, and the total output power ...

Regenerative amplifier for the OMEGA laser system

SPIE Proceedings, 1999
We present the requirements, design, and experimental results for a negative feedback-controlled Nd:YLF regenerative amplifier for the OMEGA laser system. This externally synchronizable region boosts the energy of temporally shaped optical pulses from the subnanojoule to the submillijoule energy level with a measured long-term output energy stability ...

Diode-pumped Nd:YLF regenerative amplifier

SPIE Proceedings, 2002
A diode pumped Nd:YLF regenerative amplifier is developed, which works at wavelength of 1053nm and repetition rates of 1Hz. It can produce laser pulses of 2mJ energy, 4ns width in the base transverse mode TEM00. Total gain of 1x107 is reached, and pulse-to-pulse energy fluctuation doesn't exceed ±4.7% Experimental setup and detailed results are ...

A Stable Kilohertz Nd:YAG Regenerative Amplifier

Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics, 1984
A recently developed Pockels ceil driver able to operate at any repetition rate up to 1 kHz makes it practical to build a regenerative amplifier from a continuously pumped Nd:YAG laser. The amplifier output is approximately 1 mJ in a 100 ps pulse with ± 1% energy stability.

Femtosecond Yb:YGAG ceramic regenerative amplifier

2017 Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics Europe & European Quantum Electronics Conference (CLEO/Europe-EQEC), 2017
Ytterbium-doped gain media are excellent materials for high power ultrashort pulse lasers. Especially Yb:YAG is very well established in picosecond lasers systems with kW power level due to its excellent optomechanical properties. However, limiting factor for amplification of high energy sub-picosecond and femtosecond pulses in Yb:YAG laser amplifiers ...

Analysis of a Regenerative Amplifier with Distributed Amplification

Proceedings of the IRE, 1956
It is shown that regenerative circuits of the discontinuous-output type such as the monostable multivibrator do not have their high speed performance improved by the use of distributed amplification in the amplifier portion.
