open access: yesRevista DAE, 2021

open access: yesRevista DAE, 2020

Transient regimes and crossover for epitaxial surfaces [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 2010
We apply a formalism for deriving stochastic continuum equations associated with lattice models to obtain equations governing the transient regimes of epitaxial growth for various experimental scenarios and growth conditions. The first step of our methodology is the systematic transformation of the lattice model into a regularized stochastic equation ...

Sustainability of Transient Kinetic Regimes and Origins of Death [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2016
AbstractIt is generally recognized that a distinguishing feature of life is its peculiar capability to avoid equilibration. The origin of this capability and its evolution along the timeline of abiogenesis is not yet understood. We propose to study an analog of this phenomenon that could emerge in non-biological systems.

Transient regime of Kerr-frequency-comb formation [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review A, 2012
Temporal growth of an optical Kerr frequency comb generated in a microresonator is studied both experimentally and numerically. We find that the comb emerges from vacuum fluctuations of the electromagnetic field on timescales significantly exceeding the ringdown time of the resonator modes.

Nonlinear vibration phenomena in hydrodynamically supported rotor systems

open access: yesGAMM-Mitteilungen, Volume 46, Issue 1, March 2023., 2023
Abstract It is a well‐known fact, that hydrodynamically supported systems are prone to nonlinear vibrations. Their exact simulative prediction with respect to frequency and amplitude is complicated by the fact that different system properties interact.

open access: yesTrends in Computational and Applied Mathematics, 2009

Genetic disorders of thyroid development, hormone biosynthesis and signalling

open access: yesClinical Endocrinology, Volume 97, Issue 4, Page 502-514, October 2022., 2022
Abstract Development and differentiation of the thyroid gland is directed by expression of specific transcription factors in the thyroid follicular cell which mediates hormone biosynthesis. Membrane transporters are rate‐limiting for cellular entry of thyroid hormones (TH) (T4 and T3) into some tissues, with selenocysteine‐containing, deiodinase ...

Behavior of dynamical systems in the regime of transient chaos [PDF]

open access: yesTechnical Physics Letters, 2003
The transient chaos regime in a two-dimensional system with discrete time (Eno map) is considered. It is demonstrated that a time series corresponding to this regime differs from a chaotic series constructed for close values of the control parameters by the presence of "nonregular" regions, the number of which increases with the critical parameter.
