Tuning the Mutual Synchronization of Electrically Coupled Spin‐Torque Oscillators by Selecting the Vortex Dynamic Regime

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials
In this study, the synchronization ability of vortex‐based spin‐torque nano‐oscillators is investigated for three different dynamical regimes: the fundamental gyrotropic mode, the dynamic C‐state, and the transition regime characterized by stochastic ...

Elucidating the in-process interfacial friction regime and thermal responses during inertia friction welding of dissimilar superalloys

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
Inertia friction welding (IFW) is a robust joining technique, particularly for hybrid structures composed of similar or dissimilar alloys. The highly transient thermal responses during friction heating produce variations in heat generation and ...

Dammarenediol II enhances etoposide‐induced apoptosis by targeting O‐GlcNAc transferase and Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling in liver cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Etoposide induces DNA damage, activating p53‐dependent apoptosis via caspase‐3/7, which cleaves PARP1. Dammarenediol II enhances this apoptotic pathway by suppressing O‐GlcNAc transferase activity, further decreasing O‐GlcNAcylation. The reduction in O‐GlcNAc levels boosts p53‐driven apoptosis and influences the Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling pathway ...

Emergent Global Information Infrastructure/Global Information Society: Regime Formation and the Impact on Africa [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper combines a theoretical perspective on globalization and the information society with a critical usage of international regime theory in order to contribute to a better understanding of the current historical period of transition from an ...

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Regime transition, uncertainty and prospects for democratization: The politics for Russia's regions in a comparative perspective [PDF]

open access: yes
In analyzing regime transition as an open-ended process, the paradigmatic approach of the paper provides an alternative to teleological schemes of the transition to democracy.

Hot Electron Effects in the 2D Superconductor-Insulator Transition

open access: yes, 2006
The parallel magnetic field tuned two-dimensional superconductor-insulator transition has been investigated in ultrathin films of amorphous Bi. The resistance is found to be independent of temperature on both sides of the transition below approximately ...

The PI3Kδ inhibitor roginolisib (IOA‐244) preserves T‐cell function and activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Identification of novel PI3K inhibitors with limited immune‐related adverse effects is highly sought after. We found that roginolisib and idelalisib inhibit chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells and Treg suppressive functions to similar extents, but roginolisib affects cytotoxic T‐cell function and promotion of pro‐inflammatory T helper subsets to a

A Perilous Path to Democracy. Political Transition and Authoritarian Consolidation in Rwanda [PDF]

open access: yes
The most influential literature on political transitions, the “transition paradigm”, conceived a normative theoretical framework based on the fundamental assumption that any country, which shifts away from authoritarianism is a country in transition to ...

Evolutionary regime transitions in structured populations

open access: yesPLOS ONE, 2018
The evolutionary dynamics of a finite population where resident individuals are replaced by mutant ones depends on its spatial structure. Usually, the population adopts the form of an undirected graph where the place occupied by each individual is represented by a vertex and it is bidirectionally linked to the places that can be occupied by its ...
