Cervical ribs—An anatomical obstacle for upper limb regional blocks
Anatomic variations of the cervical and supraclavicular regions are possible with an impact on regional anesthesia strategy. The presence of cervical ribs may obstruct needle visualization for brachial plexus block in those regions.

This study introduces the SF‐ZIF@NA hydrogel system for osteoporotic bone defect treatment. The hydrogel inhibits osteoclast fusion by removing sialic acid and preserves the anabolic function of precursor osteoclasts (pOCs). It also releases Zn2⁺ in acidic conditions, promoting osteogenesis and angiogenesis.

Pain‐autonomic measures reveal nociceptive sensitization in complex regional pain syndrome
Abstract Background Allodynia and hyperalgesia are common signs in individuals with complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), mainly attributed to sensitization of the nociceptive system. Appropriate diagnostic tools for the objective assessment of such hypersensitivities are still lacking, which are essential for the development of mechanism‐based ...

Quantification of depth of anesthesia by nonlinear time series analysis of brain electrical activity [PDF]
We investigate several quantifiers of the electroencephalogram (EEG) signal with respect to their ability to indicate depth of anesthesia. For 17 patients anesthetized with Sevoflurane, three established measures (two spectral and one based on the bispectrum), as well as a phase space based nonlinear correlation index were computed from consecutive EEG
