We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Changing rainfall pattern in Northeast Thailand and implications for cropping systems adaptation [PDF]
In Northeast Thailand, about 80% of the 20 million inhabitants are engaged in rainfed agriculture. Climate vagaries combined with coarse-textured sandy and unevenly distributed saline soils explain low agriculture yields and the endemic relative poverty ...

Tumor mutational burden as a determinant of metastatic dissemination patterns
This study performed a comprehensive analysis of genomic data to elucidate whether metastasis in certain organs share genetic characteristics regardless of cancer type. No robust mutational patterns were identified across different metastatic locations and cancer types.

Comparing random forest flood frequency analysis with regional flood frequency, Creager and SCS in Doab-Qazanchi, Kermanshah [PDF]
Due to climate change and rising global temperature, the occurrence of extreme floods and drought events has intensified. In this regard, in 2019, heavy rainfall occurred in Kermanshah province.

The PI3Kδ inhibitor roginolisib (IOA‐244) preserves T‐cell function and activity
Identification of novel PI3K inhibitors with limited immune‐related adverse effects is highly sought after. We found that roginolisib and idelalisib inhibit chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells and Treg suppressive functions to similar extents, but roginolisib affects cytotoxic T‐cell function and promotion of pro‐inflammatory T helper subsets to a

The design rainfall based on regional frequency analysis using tl-moment method
The designs rainfall were estimated with the regional frequency analysis provides benefits to a dataset that has a limited amount of data. Minimum data used in calculating the amount of design rainfall has a very large error for higher return period ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Regional Frequency Analysis of Annual Total Rainfall in Pakistan Using L-Moments
This study presents the estimation of regional quantiles of Annual Total Rainfall (ATR) for 30 meteorological stations using index flood procedure based on L-moments. Discordancy measure based on L-moments was used to screen the ATR.

The use of historical information for regional frequency analysis of extreme skew surge [PDF]
The design of effective coastal protections requires an adequate estimation of the annual occurrence probability of rare events associated with a return period up to 103 years. Regional frequency analysis (RFA) has been proven to be an applicable way

Frequency domain modelling of random wound motor windings for insulation stress analysis [PDF]
The use of conventional low voltage induction motors fed by pulse width modulated (PWM) inverters has begun to present important problems. These waveforms consist of steep-fronted pulses having very short rise times (about 100 ns in modern IGBT bridges ...
