RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Regional Rainfall Frequency Analysis
Frequency analysis is a vital tool when nding a well-suited probability distributionin order to predict extreme rainfall. The regional frequency approach have beenused for determination of homogeneous regions, using 11 sites in Skane, Sweden. Todescribe maximum annual daily rainfall, the Generalized Logistic (GLO), GeneralizedExtreme Value (GEV ...

Mass fluxes and isofluxes of methane (CH4) at a New Hampshire fen measured by a continuous wave quantum cascade laser spectrometer [PDF]
We have developed a mid‐infrared continuous‐wave quantum cascade laser direct‐absorption spectrometer (QCLS) capable of high frequency (≥1 Hz) measurements of 12CH4 and 13CH4 isotopologues of methane (CH4) with in situ 1‐s RMS image precision of 1.5 ...

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Regional approach for the analysis of annual maximum daily precipitation in northern Morocco
Information on extreme rainfall frequencies is required for Urban Drainage (UD) networks design. In this paper, the Regional Frequency Analysis (RFA), based on the L-moments, is used to: (i) analyze the trend of Annual Maximum Precipitation (AMP) over ...

Regional Flood Frequency Analysis Around Seyhan Basin
In the 21st century, floods, which are frequent disasters due to the increasing temperature all over the world together with the global climate change, and consequently heavy, sudden precipitations and sudden snowmelt, cause great economic, ecological, and environmental damage and even loss of life.

Tidal dynamics on the North Patagonian Argentinean Gulfs [PDF]
Semidiurnal (M2, S2, N2 and K2), diurnal (K1,O1 and P1) and quarter-diurnal (M4, MN4 and MS4) barotropic tides over the North Patagonian Gulfs of Argentina: San Matías, (SMG), Nuevo (NG) and San José (SJG) are examined using a regional numerical model ...
