Mapping Local and Regional Potentials for Inter-sectoral Technology Flows in Industrial Clusters – Empirical Results for Germany [PDF]

open access: yes
The paper explores the potential for inter-sectoral technology flows in industrial clusters in Germany. With the help of a product-embodied R&D flow matrix, calculated using data on input–output tables and sectoral R&D employment, we construct industrial

Targeting WTAP/ROR1/WNT5A‐Mediated Crosstalk Between Glioma Stem Cells and Macrophages to Normalize Tumor Vasculature and Enhance Chemotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In hypoxic microenvironment, WNT5A is predominantly secreted by tumor‐associated macrophages. Hypoxia‐induced WTAP mediates ROR1 stability by m6A modifications in a HuR‐dependent manner in Glioma stem cells (GSCs). WNT5A activates the WNT pathway via ROR1 binding on GSCs, driving glioma‐derived endothelial cells (GDECs) differentiation.

A Subset of Pro‐inflammatory CXCL10+ LILRB2+ Macrophages Derives From Recipient Monocytes and Drives Renal Allograft Rejection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study uncovers a recipient‐derived monocyte‐to‐macrophage trajectory that drives inflammation during kidney transplant rejection. Using over 150 000 single‐cell profiles and more than 850 biopsies, the authors identify CXCL10+ macrophages as key predictors of graft loss.

A price model to assess the inflationary effects of the European Regional Policy [PDF]

open access: yes
Social Accounting Matrices (SAM) are databases that complete the information provided by the input-output tables. They study the intersectorial relationships of an economy, the behaviour of consumers, the government or the foreign sector, while being ...

Beyond Silicon: Toward Sustainable, NIR‐II, and Conformable Organic Photodiodes

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
In this perspective, a strategic shift in organic photodetector (OPD) research is proposed: instead of the incremental advances in silicon's stronghold arena, the most impactful future for OPDs lies in addressing silicon's intrinsic limitations, i.e., detection in the longer wavelength range above silicon's coverage (>1100 nm, termed as near infrared ...
