A note on Gersten’s conjecture for étale cohomology over two-dimensional henselian regular local rings [PDF]
We prove Gersten’s conjecture for étale cohomology over two dimensional henselian regular local rings without assuming equi-characteristic. As an application, we obtain the local-global principle for Galois cohomology over mixed characteristic two ...

Grothendieck–Serre in the quasi-split unramified case
The Grothendieck–Serre conjecture predicts that every generically trivial torsor under a reductive group scheme G over a regular local ring R is trivial. We settle it in the case when G is quasi-split and R is unramified.

Research on the Běleč creeping slope deformation is a contribution to identification of the causes of a breakdown of the water-supply conduit of the Brno regional water-supply network and to ensuring its regular operation.

Spatio-temporal characterization of urban expansion is the first step towards understanding how cities grow in space. We summarize two approaches used in urban expansion measurement, namely, concentric-ring analysis and grid-based analysis.

A connection between regular black holes and horizonless ultracompact stars
We illustrate that regular black holes and horizonless stars, typically considered as quite distinct families of black hole mimickers, are intimately intertwined. We show that any spherically symmetric regular black hole can be continuously deformed into

Polymeric drug-releasing vaginal rings are useful for both local and systemic administration of drugs via the intravaginal route. Typically, they provide continuous sustained or controlled release of drug(s) over extended time periods, thereby avoiding ...

This paper generalizes slightly a result of Kunz [1 ] and Nakai [2]. If R> S are commutative rings with identity we introduce a module D*(R/S) defined as the quotient of the module D(R/S) of S differentials of R by the submodule consisting of elements which are mapped to zero by every homomorphism of D(R/S) having values in a finitely generated R ...
