In this thesis, a computational method for perturbative quantum field theory, known as operator regularization, is presented. It is used in conjunction with the Feynman path integral and background field quantization. Green's functions are evaluated using a perturbative expansion due to Schwinger, which employs an expansion of the generating functional

The inhibition of mitochondrial dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (DHODH) impairs syncytialization and induces cellular senescence via mitochondrial and endoplasmic reticulum stress in human trophoblast stem cells, elevating sFlt1/PlGF levels, a hallmark of placental dysfunction in hypertensive disorders of pregnancy.

Differential operators on equivariant vector bundles over symmetric spaces
Generalizing the algebra of motion-invariant differential operators on a symmetric space we study invariant operators on equivariant vector bundles.

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

The spaces of exponential type vectors of complex degrees of positive operators
New classes of interpolation spaces of exponential type vectors of complex degrees of positive operators are defined. Properties of the approximation spaces generated by the considered interpolation spaces are investigated.

Matrix metalloproteinase‐9 (MMP9) drives ovarian cancer progression. Using MMP9‐null cells (M9‐KO) created from ovarian cancer cells, we found MMP9 loss did not block Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF)‐driven E‐cadherin dissolution or EMT but delayed and reduced EGF‐driven membrane protrusions. Transient MMP9 re‐expression drove membrane protrusion.
