On scaling and regular variation
We survey scaling arguments, both asymptotic (involving regular variation) and exact (involving self-similarity), in various areas of mathematical analysis and mathematical physics.

Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

On regular variation of probability densities [PDF]
Regular variation of the tail of a multivariate probability distribution is implied by regular variation of the density f provided f satisfies a regularity condition.

Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Topological regular variation: III: Regular variation. [PDF]
This paper extends the topological theory of regular variation of the slowly varying case of [BOst13] to the regularly varying functions between metric groups, viewed as normed groups (see also [BOst14]). This employs the language of topological dynamics,

A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Survey on the deployment and design for regular topology structures in wireless sensor networks
In wireless sensor networks, such regular topology structures as Square,Hexagon and Triangle could fully cover the area to be monitored, provide accurate positioning for special events, and achieve better network performance. In order to provide valuable ...

This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Lower Tail Dependence for Archimedean Copulas: Characterizations and Pitfalls [PDF]
Tail dependence copulas provide a natural perspective from which one can study the dependence in the tail of a multivariate distribution. For Archimedean copulas with continuously differentiable generators, regular variation of the generator near the ...
