Numerical simulation of an array of heaving floating point absorber wave energy converters using OpenFOAM [PDF]
In this paper we use the CFD toolbox OpenFOAM to perform numerical simulations of multiple floating point absorber Wave Energy Converters (WECs) in a numerical wave basin.

Stability of regular roll waves
Stability of periodic travelling waves of finite amplitude is investigated for the inhomogeneous hyperbolic equations of the gas dynamic type. A criterion for stability is formulated in terms of the hyperbolicity of the modulation equations for the periodic wave packets (roll waves).

The theory of the double preparation: discerned and indiscerned particles
In this paper we propose a deterministic and realistic quantum mechanics interpretation which may correspond to Louis de Broglie's "double solution theory".

Numerical Prediction of Wave Piecing Catamaran in Regular Waves
The present work is devoted to the prediction of added resistance and the free heave and pitch motion response in regular waves. The numerical results are analyzed in terms of added resistance, ship motions. Both free to heave and pitch are studied to investigate the contribution to added resistance from ship motion at different wavelengths, and the ...

Simulating wave-structure interactions using a modified WCSPH scheme
A weakly compressible SPH (WCSPH) scheme has been developed to simulate interaction between waves and rigid bodies. The developed WCSPH scheme is improved by applying a modified equation to calculate the wave-structure interaction, in order to increase ...

Numerical simulation study of wave dissipation performance of step‐type breakwaters
To improve the force endurance capacity of plate breakwaters, a step‐type plate breakwater was proposed. The performance of the step‐type breakwater was investigated by numerical simulation method. First, a two‐dimensional numerical regular wave tank was
