Ionone glycosides from the roots of Rehmannia glutinosa

Journal of Asian Natural Products Research, 2014
Four new ionone and ionone glycosides (1-4), and a new monoterpene (5), together with 10 known analogues (6-15), were isolated from the air-dried roots of Rehmannia glutinosa. The structures of these compounds were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data analysis.

Effect of Rehmannia glutinosa on immediate type allergic reaction

International Journal of Immunopharmacology, 1998
We investigated the effect of aqueous extract of Rehmannia glutinosa steamed root (RGAE) on the allergic reactions in vivo and in vitro. RGAE dose-dependently inhibited systemic allergic reaction induced by compound 48/80. When RGAE was pre-treated at the same concentrations with systemic allergic reaction test, the plasma histamine levels were reduced

Norcarotenoids of Rehmannia glutinosa var. Hueichingensis

Phytochemistry, 1991
Abstract Two new norcarotenoids named trihydroxy-β-ionone and sec -hydroxyaeginetic acid, together with three known compounds, have been isolated from the steamed roots of Rehmannia glutinosa var. hueichingensis . Their structures were determined by chemical and spectral studies, and confirmed by X-ray analysis of trihydroxy-β- ionone acetate.

Functional activities of three Rehmannia glutinosa enzymes: Elucidation of the Rehmannia glutinosa salidroside biosynthesis pathway in Saccharomyces cerevisiae

Gene
Rehmannia glutinosa produces many phenylethanoid glycoside (PhG) compounds, including salidroside, which not only possesses various biological activities but also is a core precursor of some medicinal PhGs, so it is very important to elucidate the species' salidroside biosynthesis pathway to enhance the production of salidroside and its derivations ...

[Analysis of monosaccharides in Radix Rehmanniae by GC].

Zhongguo Zhong yao za zhi = Zhongguo zhongyao zazhi = China journal of Chinese materia medica, 2009
To isolate and purify the polysaccharides from Radix Rehmanniae and analysis the monosaccharides composition. The polysaccharides were extracted with hot water and precipitated by alcohol. Proteins in the precipitates were removed by TCA method. The products were further purified with column chromatography on Superdex 200 and Sephadex G100.

[HPLC determination of acteoside in Radix Rehmanniae].

Zhongguo Zhong yao za zhi = Zhongguo zhongyao zazhi = China journal of Chinese materia medica, 2007
To develop an HPLC method for the determination of acteoside in Radix Rehmanniae. The chromatographic conditions were as follows: Polaris C18(4.6 mm x 250 mm, 5 microm) column, a mobile phase in gradient mode composed of acetonitrile 0.1% acetic acid solution, a flow rate of 1.0 mL x min(-1), and 334 nm as the detection wavelength.Acteoside showed good ...

[Study on the HPCE fingerprint of Rehmannia glutinosa].

Zhong yao cai = Zhongyaocai = Journal of Chinese medicinal materials, 2013
To establish the analytical method for the fingerprint of Rehmannia glutinosa by HPCE and compare the fingerprints of Rehmannia glutinosa and its processed products.Based on the mode of high performance capillary electrophoresis, 60 mmol/L sodium borate was used as buffer solution (5% MeOH, pH 9.5).
