Dynamics of walnuts humidity and rehydration [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Work deals with analysis of humidity values of the walnuts during storage and rehydration. Rehydration process contribute to delete oxidized polyphenols, and to diminished astringent taste, so directly rises walnuts safety and beneficial ...

SDS‐CRISPR for Single‐Nucleotide Variant Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Structure‐disruption‐sensitive CRISPR (SDS‐CRISPR) converts structural instability into single‐nucleotide precision, thereby overcoming mismatch tolerance in canonical Cas12a and enabling versatile diagnostics across DNA, RNA, and microRNA targets. When applied to rapid IDH1 mutation detection for glioma genotyping and integrated with lateral‐flow ...

Fosl2 Regulates FSH‐Dependent Follicle Maturation Through Feedback Amplification of FSH/FSHR Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies a FOSL2‐driven positive feedback loop that amplifies FSH/FSHR signaling. During FSH‐dependent follicle maturation, FSH induces Fosl2 expression via the cAMP‐PKA‐CREB cascade. FOSL2 in turn binds the promoters of Fshr and estrogen‐biosynthesis genes to enhance their transcription, thereby increasing Fshr mRNA level and amplifying ...

REHYDRATION OF AIR-DRIED CERVICAL SMEARS: AN ALTERNATIVE TO ROUTINE WET FIXATION

open access: yesActa Medica Iranica, 2007
To prepare Pap smears, the routine practice is to fix the slides immediately in 95% ethanol. This study was performed to evaluate the possibility of routine use of alternative method of air-drying and rehydration prior to alcohol fixation instead of ...

Dietary supplement use in high-intensity functional training (HIFT) athletes by competition level

open access: yesJournal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition
Background Dietary supplements (DS) are used by athletes to aid sport-specific performance and recovery. High Intensity Functional Training (HIFT) is a unique sport with muscular strength/power/endurance, aerobic endurance, and rehydration concerns ...

Drug‐Induced Cuproptosis Defines the Therapeutic Window of Celecoxib in Intervertebral Disc Degeneration via the HSP90‐RBX1 Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals the dual role of celecoxib in intervertebral disc degeneration. While low concentrations are protective, high concentrations induce toxicity by upregulating HSP90, which synergizes with USP15 to deubiquitinate and stabilize RBX1. This leads to degradation of COMMD1/ATP7B, copper dyshomeostasis, and ultimately, cuproptosis.

CK2α Deficiency Drives Myocardial Fibrosis via Desmin‐Induced Mitochondrial Dysfunction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CK2α preserves mitochondrial homeostasis by phosphorylating Desmin to recruit Cryab, ensuring proper filament assembly. CK2α deficiency disrupts this interaction, causing mitochondrial dysfunction, metabolic shifts, bioenergetic failure, and oxidative stress—ultimately establishing a pro‐fibrotic environment that drives cardiac fibrosis.

Measuring and Optimising Rehydration

open access: yes, 2010
Exercise performance is usually degraded when athletes are dehydrated by more than approximately 2% of their bodyweight. Thus, rehydrating between exercise sessions is typically vital for recovery and preparation for a subsequent exercise bout.

G6PC Downregulation Promotes Renal Calcium Oxalate Stone Formation via Lactate‐Induced SNAIL1 K206 Lactylation and Epithelial‐Mesenchymal Transition

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In renal calcium oxalate stone formation, G6PC downregulation leads to lactate accumulation. This lactate mediates CBP/p300‐dependent lactylation of SNAIL1 at K206, promoting its nuclear translocation. Nuclear SNAIL1 activates the TGF‐β/SMAD3 pathway, driving epithelial‐mesenchymal transition and fibrosis, which ultimately facilitates crystal ...
