Flexural behaviour of RC beams in fibre reinforced concrete
Composites Part B: Engineering, 2012Abstract Even though a number of research studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of Fibre Reinforced Concrete (FRC) in improving the structural response of RC members under different loading conditions, some concerns recently arose on the sectional ductility under flexure which can be reduced under specific conditions.

Investigations on textile-reinforced concrete as cover for RC beams
Magazine of Concrete Research, 2016The present paper reports investigations carried out on textile-reinforced concrete (TRC) as a tension zone cover for reinforced concrete beams towards attaining improved serviceability and durability. TRC consists of a cementitious binder and an alkali-resistant glass fabric.

Strengthening and repair of RC beams with fiber reinforced concrete
Cement and Concrete Composites, 2010The use of a jacket made of fiber reinforced concrete with tensile hardening behavior for strengthening RC beams is investigated by means of full-scale tests on 4.55 m long beams. A 40 mm jacket of this material was directly applied to the beam surface. Both the strengthening and the repair of RC beams were studied.

Reliability Analysis of Reinforced Concrete (RC) Plates and Shells
Volume 11: Transportation Systems, 2012The application of the principles of probabilistic techniques to structural design has been gaining widespread acceptance over the last two decades. However, the design of many engineering structures is still based on standard deterministic design codes that may not account for inherent design and material variability.

Modelling of RC Beams Strengthened with Basalt Reinforced Concrete
Journal of The Institution of Engineers (India): Series A, 2017An analytical model was developed to predict the response behaviour of RC beam strengthened with basalt reinforced concrete. The model was based on the internal forces, strains, and stresses in the cross- section of the strengthened composite beam. It is observed that the analytical results are in good agreement with experimental results.

Strengthening of RC slabs with reinforced concrete overlay on the tensile face
Engineering Structures, 2017Abstract Strengthening of concrete structures with a new concrete layer has been commonly used for columns, beams and slabs. This technique is economic and efficient for structural strengthening since it uses the same base materials, steel and concrete.
