Direct design of reinforced concrete skew slabs

Computers & Structures, 1988
Abstract This paper presents the results of an experimental and theoretical analysis of the behaviour of reinforced skew slabs designed by the Direct Design Procedure. The method adopted satisfies the fundamental concepts of classical plasticity leading in practice to the lower bound on the collapse load. The method also ensure considerable reduction

Fire Response of Reinforced Concrete Slabs

Journal of the Structural Division, 1979
A mathematical procedure is described by which the structural response of reinforced concrete slabs in fire environments can be predicted. The procedure has been implemented in a computer program, FIRES-SL. An iterative approach is used within time steps to find a deformed shape at which external loads and internal stresses are in equilibrium.

Contribution of Slab Reinforcement to the Bending Moment of Beams with Reinforced Concrete Slabs

2022
Bir betonarme binanın kiriş dayanımı hesabında, açıklıkta kirişe döşeme betonunun katkı verdiği ancak, mesnetlerde kirişe paralel döşeme donatısının ihmal edildiği bilinmektedir. Birçok ülke yönetmeliklerinde, ihmal edilen bu donatıların dikkate alınması hususunda önerilerde bulunulurken, ulusal yönetmeliklerimizde böyle bir ifade bulunmamaktadır.

Tension Stiffening in Reinforced Concrete Slabs

Journal of the Structural Division, 1978
A nonlinear finite element model is used to predict the short-term behavior of reinforced concrete slabs under transverse service loads. The model is based on small deflection plate bending theory and uses a layered 16-degree-of-freedom rectangular plate bending element. The sources of material nonlinearity in reinforced concrete slabs are examined and

Reinforced Concrete Slab Design Manual

The basis for this project is to show the steps necessary for an in depth design of the three most common types of slabs being used in modern construction today. These are; slab on ground, one-way slab with band beam and two-way flat slab with drop panels. This project report takes on the combination of slab design models to combine them and create a ...

STRAIN MEASUREMENT IN REINFORCED CONCRETE SLABS

Strain, 1969
Electrical strain gauges are used for measuring steel and concrete strains in reinforced concrete slabs subjected to short‐term tests to failure. Strain readings are taken on the compression and tension faces of the concrete and on the reinforcing steel.
