Optimal Segmentation of Glass Shell Structures
Monolithic glass shells can be constructed in limited sizes. Segmented shells allow coverage of larger spans. Three shell systems - spherical dome, cylindrical roof and hyperbolic paraboloid were segmented using four different curved glass segment shapes

Two-scale Reissner-Mindlin plate model
A two-scale plate model, in which the displacement assumption consists of the Reissner-Mindlin and warping parts, is presented. To reduce the modelling error of the classical Reissner-Mindlin model, the warping part is chosen so that the overall displacement satisfies the full 3D elasticity equations as well as possible.

A low-order nonconforming finite element for Reissner-Mindlin plates [PDF]
We propose a locking-free element for plate bending problems, based on the use of nonconforming piecewise linear functions for both rotations and deflections.

On the Justification of Plate Models [PDF]
In this paper, we will consider the modelling of problems in linear elasticity on thin plates by the models of Kirchhoff-Love and Reissner-Mindlin. A fundamental investigation for the Kirchhoff plate goes back to Morgenstern (Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal.

Incorporating Transverse Normal Strain in the Homogenization of Corrugated Cardboards
Homogenization researches for corrugated cardboard are predominantly based on plate theories assuming constant thickness, such as the Reissner–Mindlin plate. However, corrugated cardboard is prone to significant deformation in the thickness direction. To

Existence theorems in the geometrically non-linear 6-parametric theory of elastic plates
In this paper we show the existence of global minimizers for the geometrically exact, non-linear equations of elastic plates, in the framework of the general 6-parametric shell theory.
