Atomic layer deposition is used to conformally surface engineer polymeric membranes to fabricate inorganic–organic hybrid membranes. These membranes have exceptionally strong attraction toward water even in high oil containing emulsions, which leads to an extremely strong hydration layer at the interface.

This article discusses the rejection of Falstaff comparing Act 5, scene 5 of 2 Henry IV, with Act 1, scene 2 of 1 Henry IV. The rejection is inevitable because Falstaff represents disorder. His triumph would mean the victory of anarchy over order, stability and justice. But we become so involved with him that we even tolerate his conspiracies.

The power of the Granger and Lee (1989) model of asymmetry is examined via bootstrap simulation. The results of the bootstrap simulation indicate that the Granger and Lee model has low power in rejecting the null hypothesis of symmetric adjustments.
