Gamete Formation Resets the Aging Clock in Yeast [PDF]
Gametogenesis is a process whereby a germ cell differentiates into haploid gametes. We found that, in budding yeast, replicatively aged cells remove age-induced cellular damage during gametogenesis.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Improving mechanical properties for extrusion-based additive manufacturing of poly(lactic acid) by annealing and blending with poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) [PDF]
Based on differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, polarizing microscope (POM), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis, strategies to close the gap on applying conventional processing optimizations for the field ...

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Nature of the glassy magnetic state in Cu$_{2.84}$Mn$_{0.44}$Al$_{0.72}$ shape memory alloy
The magnetic ground state of the ferromagnetic shape memory alloy of nominal composition Cu$_{2.84}$Mn$_{0.44}$Al$_{0.72}$ was investigated. The sample shows reentry of a glassy magnetic phase below the martensitic transition temperature, which is found ...

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Protein modification and maintenance systems as biomarkers of ageing [PDF]
Changes in the abundance and post-translational modification of proteins and accumulation of some covalently modified proteins have been proposed to represent hallmarks of biological ageing.

Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Experimental Study on Rejuvenation of Aged Power Cables via Simulation Operation
Thermal effects play a crucial role in the evolution of insulation performance in power cables during long-term operation. Before the experiments, crosslinked polyethylene (XLPE) sheets and cables were thermally aged at 105 °C for up to 180 days.
